Bra for Tiny Tits, here

I love balconette styles but they're not suitable, even in small sizes, just completely flat all the way to my nipple. No exaggeration. Been measured a billion times. Still not found The One (the bra that my boobs don't fall out of by popping under the wiring).

Any other small-breasted ladies which found a soliton?

Take a look at curvy kate balconette style (the showgirl range like tease me, thrill me, fleurty, entice) might work for you. They do have some light padding. Balconettes will probably suit better as they tend to lift up rather than trying to push together, which if you have a wide gap tends to be a disaster. Although, an exception which may be worth trying is the Freya Deco - a wide set friend gets on very well with this. You could also try Freya Patsy half cup, or Fauve half cups, or Bravissimo branded half cups

Well I tried on as many 28c, 30c and 30d bras as I could find in m&s and debenhams today, and am already feeling a lot more confident, as they fitted much better than my existing 34aa bras. None of them ticked all the boxes though, as the only super-padded style was the wonderbra-type in size 30c(or was it d?), which was hopeless for my wide-apart boobs. So, I think my perfect bra is probably a 28d, with a decent central panel, good coverage and plenty padding (although I agree that I am less obsessed about that now having hope of a bra which actually fits).

Off to trawl online for such a bra, hope it exists...

Yup, get measuring!

Omg, I am in total shock, you mean I could be a 30 or 32 c or even d,

I measure in at 36 aaaa to 38aaaaa, I usually wear a 34b but they still dont fit right,

Going to measure using link! Will be cheapest boob job ever lol

Have you read the page on the blog about dealing with asymmetry? It has some quite useful tips.

You might find uber-padded is less of a necessity once you are in the correct size as you will get far more support and lift. I will have a look for super padded, just can't think of any off the top of my head that are available in 28s - moulded options but will have a look for more hevaily padded.

Have just measured myself using the advice here and coming up as a 28D. Bit of an eye-opener to someone who has spent the afternoon thoroughly depressed at the array of non-fitting heavily padded 34aaa bras which have arrived in the post today.

So I'm now intending to try some 28D bras but am unsure what styles to choose. I have never in my life had a bra which fits my left side, there is always a big gap, which flatteringly exposes my left nipple (no tissue left due to breast feeding x3). And I would like something really padded, as my stomach sticks out waaay more than my chest. So the triangle type, bralette style isn't really for me.

Any advice much appreciated!

Reporting back. My Lepel Fiore Padded Plunge's in red and black came today and the 32G was still too stretchy in the band but bingo, we have a good fit in the 30G! Grin

I was disappointed when I looked at them at first as the central gore was higher than I would've liked but when I tried them on they were comfy.

These ones have a bit of removable padding on the bottom which gives my shallow boobs a bit of oompth that they need.

Im not sure if its just me being dumb but bravissimo dont seem to have any 28D bikinis and brastop and leia only have a small selection of 28D - all of which seemed designed for big boobies! I really need something padded on top otherwise on the beach I end up feeling like my 2 boys have gone on holiday with their big sister, not their mum!

OP, M & S have some nice looking balconette/balcony bras, some padded, some push up in a variety of small band sizes. You could try them first and then go for the other brands here when you're feeling up to more adventure. M &S give out a £5 voucher if you get a fitting (but we got a voucher for borrowing a tape measure!)

Thanks for that. I like the padded plunge style - boobs are tiny and I need a little padding to look like I actually have some!

It doesn't look like it - is there some particular feature you were after with the Lepel?

28D bikinis - yup, lots. Freya,, panache, cleo and curvy kate all make them. Check out bravissimo, brastop and leia for starters

Statistically does the lepel fiore padded plunge come in 28D? Also any idea where I can find bikinis in this size? Really appreciate all the advice youve given on these bra threads - stuck in a badly fitting 32A at the moment and going on holiday soon but all I have is 32A bikinis from la senza - would love to get something that fits properly for a change!

you don't need to go wire free, so long as the cup fits properly and the wire is not resting on breast tissue.

However, the deco soft cup starts at a 28D so would be a good wire free option

Well, thanks to this thread, I have discovered that I have been wearing entirely the wrong size bra my whole life, having defaulted to the standard "I have no boobs therefore must be a 32a " assumption (helped in no small way by my fitting as a teen in m&s). Turns out I'm more like a 26 back. Fortunately, I am now pregnant, so will get away with a larger back for a while at least. Unfortunately, due to recommendation to avoid wires (partly I think because the fitter didn't trust me to know whether a bra is fitting properly given my past form!), I am now stuck in unexciting teen bras, which seem to be all that is available in a 28 back with no wires. Unless anybody has any good tips for nice wire-free bras in a 28d/dd?

Been keeping an eye on these bra threads for some time - after measuring I work out that im 28D - trying to find the lepel fiore padded plunge in that size but everywhere that sells it seems to only start with 30 band. Do they do this bra in 28D? Also any ideas where I can find a nice bikini in this size?

You might want to try one cup size up if its not covering enough at the sides - the measurement is only a starting point, so I'd maybe add a 32C and 30D to the list

shash1982 · 09/03/2014 09:49

Thanks statiscally. I've been wearing a 32B, depending on the brand it seems ok, except not all cover the sides near my arms. A 34A is too roomy around my ribs & a 32A feels too small in the cup, barely covers!

Report
StatisticallyChallenged · 08/03/2014 09:12

try 30C, 30B, 32B and 32A as a starting point. What are you wearing just now and how does it fit?

So if a measurment is 31 under & 33 over what size does that maje using the size guide?

Report
FrugalFashionista · 07/03/2014 14:44

Thanks! The size conversions are really difficult. Italians express band size with Roman numerals and God only knows what that means but I will stick to UK and EU sizing.

Does this also mean that although Americans use inch-based measurements they might be following the old system?

Report
StatisticallyChallenged · 07/03/2014 14:15

Roughly down one band up one cup but it really only works one band either side if that makes sense so 34d try 32dd ie 70dd
