Beauty bargains for under £10

I know there have been a few of these, but I always love to hear about what others use.
I'm mostly skint these days, so unfortunately the days of premium brands are over for a while forever

But, I've repeatedly bought:
Dove silk glow shower gel - smells divine and leaves skin soft.
Aveeno skin relief - great for my elbows which are affected by psoriasis.
Nivea invisible anti perspirant - it works on both counts and smells lovely.
Arm & hammer whitening toothpaste - always return to this.
No.7 top coat - nails dry in a flash
Maybelline nail varnishes - great colours with staying power. Better than many premium brands.
Soap & glory lippies - tried the mat ones and love them - dense colours and staying power. Lips also look bigger!

What are your bargain 'must haves'?

FoxyHarlow123 · 01/02/2014 07:13

Sanctuary 4 day moisturiser oil scrub. Brilliant product. Use it on dry skin , then add a bit of water, scrub again, then full shower to rinse it off. Skin like silk and no need for any moisturiser. It was £10 in boots the other day and it came with a free gift! Bonus!

dementedma · 01/02/2014 09:54

Retin A from eBay

Twinkleandbunty · 01/02/2014 11:45

katie how does Retin A improve your skin? I remember it was the buzz product some years ago. Does it make your skin more sensitive to sunlight?

  • sorry, that reads like 'does it improves your skin by making it more sensitive to sun'!
You know what I mean.

Boots botanic bb cream, love it!

Also Asda's own nail varnish, they are about £1 each but really nice colours and glide on easily.

KatieScarlett2833 · 01/02/2014 13:23

Dunno, I live in Scotland Grin

JemimaPuddle · 01/02/2014 13:25

Superdrug Vitamin e range - hot cloth cleanser, face oil, scrub, night cream & intensive moisture day cream.
It's about £3/£4 an item, pleasant to use and has made a big difference to my skin.

maudpringle · 01/02/2014 13:35

Aveeno skin care
Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth and little tub of intense cream

YY to collection 2000 concealer and coconut oil.

MUA make up setting spray
MUA undressed eyeshadow palette

PaperBagPrincess · 01/02/2014 14:10

YY to Superdrug stuff.

I use the Vit E hot cloth cleanser, night cream & eye cream, and the Radiance moisturiser and balm (primer).

I use more and more bargainous beauty items. I think I am less blinded by the packaging and advertising of the premium brands these days.

nickdrakeslovechild · 01/02/2014 14:13

Collection 200 under eye concealer its the best (better that touche eclait)
Mua make up is all great especially the new matte lipstick in red, much nicer than Mac ruby woo.
Barry M matte foundation is amazing just swapped to that from my Mac face and body foundation.

And Barry M are doing the most amazing mascara called las vegas lashes, the waterproof one is so good, better than any expensive ones I've tried.

Superdrug vitamin E range is fantastic, just gone back to using the vitamin E oil under my moisturiser, was using weleda but its not as good or as cheap as the vitamin E.

mrsblakey · 01/02/2014 16:22

MUA makeup esp the lipsticks.
Vaseline
Superdrug radiance hot cloth cleanser.
Aqueous cream from poundland

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2014 16:53

Another vote for the S&G lipsticks - they are brilliant. Love Man Trap.
Superdrug Vitamin E oil. A lovely young colleague told me yesterday that she hopes her skin looks like mine when she is in her 40s, so it must be doing something right!
Badedas bubble bath - a little goes a long way.
Recently bought and really like the Bodyshop absinthe hand cream.
Revlon nail varnish is brilliant.
Flexitol for hands and feet.

Allthingsprettyreturns · 01/02/2014 17:24

Botanical moisturiser with SPF. It's often on offer and I found it better than an origins moisturiser.

Liz Earle when it's on offer for less than a tenner.

Collection 2000 eye shadow pencils

LittleYellowDuck · 01/02/2014 18:03

Love MUA make up range
Barry M Gel Polishes - look great on very 'Shellac' looking
