Don't think ages matters more the style you wear!

madrose · 23/01/2014 20:51

same age - love them. if i had the cash i would get a pair

AwkwardSquad · 23/01/2014 20:53

Ooh, they are nice! I'm your age Grin. You are so not a numpty.

MedusaIsHavingaBadHairday · 23/01/2014 20:53

You are never too old for Docs! (ok I'm 46 so may be biased!)

You can however have feet that are too big Sad I really want some, but when I went to the fabulous Doc shop in Nottingham with my DD2 and tried some on she laughed.. a lot . They looked like canoes on me!

Enjoy!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2014 20:55

I'm 48 this year and I would Smile

Olivegirl · 23/01/2014 20:55

I'm same age and think they're great
I've got similar Smile

randomfemale · 23/01/2014 21:02

Oh thank you thank you thank you! Last time I wore Docs I was around 17. Wasn't sure if I'd look as if I was trying too hard to be 'down with da kidz' but they look so comfy. I plan to wear them with skinny jeans but if I feel daring enough maybe black opaques and a jumper dress Grin

My teenage daughters will either approve massively or die of shame!

bonvivant · 23/01/2014 21:25

Well, I don't like them but I wouldn't have liked them in my younger years. Go for them if you like them though

ByTheSea · 23/01/2014 21:26

I'm 50 and I like 'em.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 23/01/2014 21:30

I've got red patent ones. I've had them for about 6 years. I'm 54 and I don't give a rats arse (looking at you judgey dd)

Bearleigh · 23/01/2014 21:33

Have a look on the 'what do you wear when you're over 50' thread. Lots of us older ladeez ( see the thread!) wear biker boots and I am sure it's because they are so cushioned and comfortable, just like Docs.

BabyMummy29 · 23/01/2014 21:35

Nothing wrong with them at all

randomfemale · 23/01/2014 21:42

Thanks Bearleigh I will have a nosey. Tbh I would love to have a style but my wardrobe is full of all kinds of shite - most of which was bought on impulse (damn you on-line shopping) (and wine) Wink

perplexedpirate · 23/01/2014 21:47

No such thing as too old for Docs.

And that's that.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/01/2014 21:52

on-line shopping and wine

tsk tsk that's begging for trouble with your bowl out that is Wink

gerbiltamer · 23/01/2014 21:55

They are great, I currently own 4 pairs of Docs and love 'em.They

MsWinnieBaygo · 23/01/2014 22:17

Not my cup of tea but I don't think they're age inappropriate - very little is depending on how it's styled. If you love them, get them!

Floisme · 24/01/2014 07:03

I have two pairs but I haven't got any with a fleecy lining, hmmm, tempting. I'm 57.

Rooners · 24/01/2014 07:15

I can't make myself wear DMs now I'm 40 but I like the colour and the lining. if they weren't DMs then I'd go for them. Does that help at all? Smile

namelessposter · 24/01/2014 07:17

Way cooool :-)

DrNick · 24/01/2014 07:17

Are you slightly ethereal looking! Won't work on curvy types

cowsarescary · 24/01/2014 08:00

My mum has some. She's 82.

itwillgetbettersoon · 24/01/2014 08:36

I'm 49 and love them.

Eliza22 · 24/01/2014 08:38

Love those. I'd wear them and I'm 51. I have to go for comfort over style these days as my feet are buggered by ballet (in a former life Smile) so, only flat chunky boots/shoes for me.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 24/01/2014 08:52

I'm nearly 40 and recently bought Docs for the first time in 20 years!

Mine are purple patent and then I bought silver patent because I liked them so much.

They are so comfy and I love the chunkiness of them.
