Lalsy, I fear I may at least equal youBlush

lalsy · 20/01/2014 15:43

Two blue moss stitch (only take first one off to wash it - favourite garment ever), one grey moss stitch, one cashmere and cotton V neck, two lambswool V neck (just arrived, dithering about whether to keep both - they are lovely and thick but very sensible). I work at home and like cold rooms and thick jumpers.

Blackduck · 20/01/2014 16:14

:)

I bought another grey jumper in M&S today (in the sale £12 - bargain).... Not sure I needed another grey jumper but at that price ;)

(I'd gone in to change some bras - I hate bra shopping - they never fit properly these days....)

CointreauVersial · 20/01/2014 18:37

Lalsy, I too have a grey moss-stitch Woolovers jumper, possibly the same one - wide neck? boxy? slightly stepped hem? My fave jumper too, and as soon as they do more colours, I'm buying another.

My fingers are poised over the Buy button gold-skirt-wise, even though I am on a DH-imposed spending ban. £7! Can't resist.

Herbs - good to hear you are joining the lady-joggers. I have £50 to spend in Sweatshop, but the one thing I don't need is a pair of trainers, having recently replaced mine. They are bright turquoise and lime green and make me go FAST.

And on the domestic front, I am having U-bend problems. Not a euphemism; the washing machine disgorged its contents all over the utility room floor last night because of a busted seal. Fortunately I managed to squeeze a huge tub-trug into the cupboard under the sink, so my laundry schedule continues uninterrupted.

lalsy · 20/01/2014 18:48

CV, that's the one! I don't like the green and am far too much of a mucker for cream. I'd like darker grey, dark green.

motherinferior · 20/01/2014 18:48

I am tempted by the Woolovers moss stitch in green. Not navy, as navy looks awful on me.

That would look great I think on you MI.

great mittens herbs

i have no woolovers either - my favourite is the crepey jumper but i would have to get grey like lalsy i think, and as we spend an awful lot of time together that would lead to jumper scheduling problems

rudy - topshop has quite a few tartan tube skirts and comfortable (!) cigarette pant type trousers

lalsy · 21/01/2014 07:38

addle, I think the green would look good on you too. Get me. Neighbourhood Woolovers advisor.

bigTillyMint · 21/01/2014 07:50

Yes, the sage one would look good on you both, MI and addle.

Rudy, I can see you in this or Stropps tartan trousersSmile

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/01/2014 08:19

I have no woolovers either. I quite like the crepey jumper, but would go for green, as I have too much grey in my wardrobe already...

bigTillyMint · 21/01/2014 08:44

Can we all stop talking about Woolovers - DD has banned me from buying any more jumpers and my hands are itching....Grin

bigTillyMint · 21/01/2014 08:46

And talking of DD, she ordered herself a dungarees skirt from ASOS last night using her own bank cardShockSmile

Blackduck · 21/01/2014 08:56

I have various woolovers items but a appear to have purchased rather a lot of jumpers in the past couple of months.....

DB okay - one tumour (they thought was a something or other cyst originally) and a lump on the carotid artery - apparently it was a bit of a mess in there and they did stop at one point and survey it all and say 'well we think that's a nerve so we should steer clear'......... All benign (according to the people who do that stuff). Lovely scar (hardly noticeable.....)

Huge sigh of relief all round......

motherinferior · 21/01/2014 09:35

Oh thank...wotsit. Oh I am so pleased, BD.

And in celebration, and as I idiotically didn't take a picture of the tinned haggis in Aldi the other day, which I thought would mesmerise you all in a nauseous kind of a way, here's the reposted pic of my even less S&B youth, as requested Grin

That's great news re your brother, BD. Or even BD DB!

I have just returned from my first C25K 'run'. The app kept crashing, so I just did it myself - 60 paces running, 90 paces walking. when I say 'running' I mean a jog barely faster than a walk. Dare I say it, it wasn't actually toooooo bad. And I didn't get a pain in my chest, or weird asthma like I did last time I attempted outdoor exercise. Though my knees hurt a bit.

So, I'll do it again. I'll have to - the trainers cost too much to gather dust!

I love my mittens, but it appears I've bought TWO LEFT HANDS. Can I be arsed to traipse back to Westfield? It's either that or do my tax return.

motherinferior · 21/01/2014 09:46

Well done, Herbs! Stick with it. Sheer hatred of Laura fuels one effectively, I find. I've found myself thinking now that "oh, is it worth renewing my swimming card, I could just run every day"...

Should I consider these boots?

OP posts:
herbaceous · 21/01/2014 09:54

I'm not sure I've got the lovely laura - the nhs app didn't download, I tried another one, it crashed, and now I have a yellow-coloured one that appears I'll have to pay for after a week. Pfff.

Blackduck · 21/01/2014 10:20

MI I bought them and took them back - read the reviews.... the leather is so thin and they look like plastic!

motherinferior · 21/01/2014 10:21

THat's £45 saved, then Grin

OP posts:
Blackduck · 21/01/2014 10:21

Go to the dark brown leather reviews..... they are the most disappointed!

bigTillyMint · 21/01/2014 11:08

Good news, BD!
