What do you think of this?

I am young and I have short trendy dark hair and was considering having this done on one ear!

I like it, it's pretty.

onedogandababy · 28/12/2013 18:59

I like it too. Go for it!

SundaySimmons · 28/12/2013 22:36

Hideous.

I'm old.

Get it done!

PoshPaula · 29/12/2013 05:21

You are considering having holes made in you that will hurt and need to heal. For cosmetic reasons. Weird.

sonlypuppyfat · 29/12/2013 08:24

Well said PoshPaula .

BunnyLebowski · 29/12/2013 08:29

I think it's disgusting.

But I am rapidly turning into my mother and am therefore probably best ignored.

AlyssB · 29/12/2013 10:21

I like it! I would also suggest being patient - get them done one at a time and make sure each is fully healed before getting the next, otherwise the swelling will be very painful and the individual piercings harder to look after & heal properly. If you get them all done at the same time if one gets infected they all get infected Sad

GwendolineMaryLacey · 29/12/2013 10:24

Very pretty. I'd love to have more on my ears but have always had ear-covering hair so no point. If I was young with pixie locks I would do this.

BananaNotPeelingWell · 29/12/2013 10:35

I am ancient. It looks fraught with pain and danger. Having had problems in my yoof with a keloid on a piercing I woudn't do it. Lesson learned.

But back then I would have wanted it.

KatyPeary · 29/12/2013 10:36

Sweet mother of divinity. I look at it and all I see is pain. And possible infection. Sorry OP.

But hey, I'm hardly know anything. Grin

Cucumberscarecrow · 29/12/2013 10:56

I like it. I am a solicitor and required to dress pretty conservatively. Otherwise, I would be nabbing your idea Smile.

ItsAWonderfulCervix · 29/12/2013 13:00

I had a terrible dream about piercings last night, thanks to this thread.

I was having my tragus pierced and it was too thick for the needle to go through and the piercer stabbed and stabbed it.

It was orrible.

MamaPingu · 29/12/2013 14:00

PoshPaula- I don't feel it's as weird as people covering their body in images on their skin or having surgery for cosmetic reasons!

Don't get why people get on their high horse over stuff like this Confused

OP posts:
eurochick · 29/12/2013 14:07

It makes me feel a bit queasy looking at it.

PoshPaula · 29/12/2013 14:47

Who's on their high horse? I think cosmetic surgery and tattoos are weird, too. I wouldn't choose to do that to my body, personally. If you would like to, good for you. It keeps somebody employed, after all. Hopefully not a doctor though...

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 29/12/2013 14:50

I have had a rook piercing for years now and lately have been thinking of doing something similar with it as I've got older and feel I need to be more 'delicate'

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 29/12/2013 14:55

it is pretty

whats a tragus?

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 29/12/2013 14:55

Poshpaula- Do you say that to all people that have their ears pierced?

Why is one part of the ear more socially acceptable than another?

AuntieMaggie · 29/12/2013 14:57

Its nice though I'm surprised you haven't seen it before as its quite common. I have a double piercing like this.

I think someone has already said be prepared for it not to look like that immediately - you may not be able to have them all done at the same time , may not be able to wear the nice dainty studs straight away and you may not have enough space for 3 piercings like that.

Dawndonnaagain · 29/12/2013 15:01

I like it and may suggest it to dd2. She has this, but higher up.

What do you think of this piercing?
quirrelquarrel · 29/12/2013 15:02

I think it looks really nineties Grin

LiberalLibertine · 29/12/2013 15:07

Ouch! Looks nice though :)

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 29/12/2013 15:09

I also think it looks painful and a little ugly to be honest. I wouldn't mind three piercings lower down, in the lobe but at the top it looks awkward, to me.

But that's my opinion. :)

Dawndonnaagain · 29/12/2013 15:17

mamapingu
dd's was three, the one above, and it was high enough for there still to be cartilage, so was painful, but still quick. She had to have three seperate rings in for a couple of months, but she had it changed to the one above a couple of weeks ago and all is fine. It does take a bit more looking after, initially, but according to her was worth it.

cardamomginger · 29/12/2013 15:18

I think it (the one in your original post) looks really pretty. I think you could make it look young and casual, but that it also has the potential to look elegant as you get older. I think this is important, because I doubt the holes will close without a noticeable scar.

Go for it!
