Thinking I may have some new boots for xmas, thinking calf length, warm, not going to get ruined in the snow/rain, easy to put and resonably stylish. I really like fly london but not sure if they are as comfy as they look. Want to help me look. I hate ugg's. TIA

Dr martens. Almost indestructible if my 18yo pair are anything to go by!

I have these in red

I really like Duo boots and you can get them fitted in all sorts of sizes.

Budget? My boots purchase this year was the fiorentini and baker biker boots. They are amazing.

ditavonteesed · 14/12/2013 09:51

£100 - 150 I guess but I could sneak it up a bit for the right ones. I had some goregous merral ones but they only lasted me a year which makes them very expensive per wear.. I love dm's. Have multi coloured 8 holes but I find I cant be bothered to do them up at 6am leaving for work so dont wear them as much as I should.

I bought some Ugg Irmah boots and they are super comfy (sole lined with sheepskin) go with everything and waterproof, love them!

I got my F&Bs for the outnet for just over £150. They get new stock a few times a week so worth checking on their periodically to see if any catch your eye.

ditavonteesed · 14/12/2013 12:22

I have narrowed it down to these amilie or these gayle

I think the amelie are prettier but they look like they would be a pain to put on and off, I loe the gayle and they look loike they could be a quick pull on and go. Geekgirl how do they look with a skirt and how are they hlding up, would they be ok for walking dogs and things?

I have red gayle and after almost 2 months of continuous wear they look like new almost. There is a small scuff from using the buggy break but it came out with some clear polish. The soles are like new as well. They've managed super wet school runs without leaking, but I've not tested them with anything more muddy.

I wear mine with skinny jeans mostly as I'm not really a skirt girl I think as long as your legs aren't short/ too stocky and the skirt is the right length it'd be fine. I wouldn't wear them with a knee length skirt but a shorter one would be fine.

I love mine and it's brill just being able to pull them off/ on without laces. :)

MedusaIsHavingaBadHairday · 14/12/2013 16:56

I have Fly Mol boots..and they are the comfiest things I have ever worn. They are very good for narrow calves (they adjust) and they are very soft.
They do scuff quickly but I don't mind that.

ditavonteesed · 14/12/2013 17:22

would the fly mol be ok for the slightly wider of calf, also how do they fit bigger or smaller, I am normally a 6 but am always a 7 in dm's.

right I have it narrowed donw to the dr marten gayle, I love docs, know they will last and fit etc, or the fly london sminx ses, really pretty, reviews say tehy dont last and mark easily and cost twice as much. actually I think the decision is making itself eher.
