Is this top 'mumsy'?

I am going out for a meal with friends next week and am planning on wearing this top in teal with a pair of black jeggings and leopard-print court shoes.

Does the top look mumsy? I am a tall size 16 and need baggy tops like this to hide my muffin top Blush

Don't buy it. Sorry.

BunnyLebowski · 24/11/2013 19:21

Eeek it's really not very nice OP.

Do you have time to buy another? We can have a look for you Smile

MrsDavidBowie · 24/11/2013 19:21

It's a bit shiny
And not with leopard print shoes.

GobblersKnob · 24/11/2013 19:25

Ooosh, it's not great.

Ifcatshadthumbs · 24/11/2013 19:26

No it's not very flattering at all.

pictish · 24/11/2013 19:27

I'm not keen. Sorry.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2013 19:27

Sorry, Op - it's not v nice. It looks like Pineapple dance wear, from the 80s.

polyhymnia · 24/11/2013 19:28

No it's definitely not stylish in any way. Sure you can do better in long top than that at your age and size.

polyhymnia · 24/11/2013 19:29

Or any age and size .

FlutterShyPinkiePie · 24/11/2013 19:29

I really don't like it, and probably even less in teal. Sorry but I think you could do better, and I say that as someone roughly your size.

Elsiequadrille · 24/11/2013 19:29

Sorry, Spook. Not for going out for a meal, and with leopard court shoes.

spookyskeleton · 24/11/2013 19:32

Oh crap - I quite liked it Blush

Help me then Grin I need it to be at crotch-length and hide a muffin top - not keep on tunic-style as they just seem to make me look pregnant!

Bradsplit · 24/11/2013 19:33

its a bit blousy janemcdonald

KoalaFace · 24/11/2013 19:33

Looks cheaper than it actually is and in my experience with that range, it'll be worse in person. You can do better!

Repeatedlydoingthetwist · 24/11/2013 19:35

Can you look for a peplum? They hide a multitude of sins!

Bradsplit · 24/11/2013 19:37

NO NO NO for peplums on anyone over a size 10

scottishmummy · 24/11/2013 19:38

So wrong on many levels, the shimmery heart, the nylon drape.total Sharon watts

pictish · 24/11/2013 19:39

Agree that peplums are not for anyone bar the postively sylph like. And even then they're still awful.

Bradsplit · 24/11/2013 19:39

i got this on a whim
wear an opaque bra and a jacket and there you are.

Bradsplit · 24/11/2013 19:39

and huge fuck off earings

WipsGlitter · 24/11/2013 19:40

It's a bit "fun". The heart is boke.

What's your budget?

spookyskeleton · 24/11/2013 19:40

Sorry, no peplums - just think they are totally TOWIE-style!

So if drapy tops and peplums are out, what can I wear that will hide my tummy?

OP posts:
WipsGlitter · 24/11/2013 19:41

I think drapey is ok, just not that one. Do you want your arms covered?

spookyskeleton · 24/11/2013 19:42

No more than £30 Smile

Not keen on the shirt - sorry Smile
