Nice, inexpensive, underwear present sets

I have looked through past threads for recommendations for Bra/knicker/thong presents, but haven't been able to find any, so apologies if this has been done to death.

I am looking to buy underwear for older teens in the family, (they don't like La Senza). I know that they think they are over priced for the quality.

The sizes are 34-36 DD. I know that one girl doesn't suit balcony style. My budget is La Senza prices, at most.

Asda hasn't much in, that isn't Balcony style. I buy mine mismatched in sales, except for shape wear, I bargain hunt.

Can anyone make any recommendations, even to websites, please?

Primark do nice ones they do them is sets but also bra and then pants seprate at good prices

Clargo55 · 24/11/2013 15:07

ASOS do some nice things, lots of different brands. They also have 10% off atm with the code NOVEMBER10. I like the Esprit brand, wash well and fit great.

starsandunicorns · 24/11/2013 15:07

As sometimes in the sets the pants are to small im a 34 dd and there is a good range of styles

Birdsgottafly · 24/11/2013 15:26

What about Elle Machpherson at Figleaves or the Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely range at M&S - they're similar prices as La Senza.

LittleTulip · 24/11/2013 15:31

Debenhams Gorgeous range is nice

paperlantern · 24/11/2013 15:32

primark

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 24/11/2013 15:32

Gossard website has an outlet section and its free delivery this weekend

mammadiggingdeep · 24/11/2013 16:40

You can't beat sainsburys....well worth a look.

Primark bra sizes are always funny on me.

Minshu · 24/11/2013 17:05

How can you buy bras for someone else? Surely they need to try them on. Sizes are so variable even within one manufacturer. Get them vouchers for John Lewis?

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/11/2013 18:17

anyone else want to take a bet that said teens are nowhere near a 34-36DD and are really nearer 30GG?

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 24/11/2013 18:59

new look

SorrelForbes · 24/11/2013 21:14

Yep, I agree with Stats and Minshu. I'd put money on it that none of them are a 34/36DD. Please, please don't buy them more bras in those sizes! I'd recommend a trip to Bravissimo.

ProtectiveMother · 24/11/2013 21:20

Agree that buying underwear for others is a sure-fire fail

LaFataTurchina · 24/11/2013 21:45

If you want to buy something similar and with less chance of getting the size wrong why not get them some shortie pyjama sets or nice knickers and vest top sets. - accessorize is good for pretty pants and vests.

Allthingsprettyreturns · 26/11/2013 08:11

Tk Maxx is worth a look

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/11/2013 08:16

There is no way teens are those sizes.

Buying bras for another person is a minefield, surely? Why not get iTunes vouchers or posh toiletries instead?

cathyandclaire · 26/11/2013 08:20

Floozie (Frost French) at Debenhams are good for teens

SorrelForbes · 26/11/2013 09:17

Floozie (Frost French) at Debenhams are good for teens But they start (I think) at a 32 back which is too big for many young girls.

babySophieRose · 26/11/2013 09:19

I remember that H&M used to have a very pretty and festive underwater around Xmas, haven't checked this year thou.

SorrelForbes · 26/11/2013 09:30

But again, their bras start at a 32".

OP I really wouldn't buy bras for them!

Birdsgottafly · 26/11/2013 11:02

"There is no way teens are those sizes."

The girl who is now a DD, was a C cup at 13. Some girls develop early and stay that size, others grow gradually up to the age of 25 Confused

They both want underwear sets and like stuff to open, I will buy, but keep the receipts.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have seen sets in Debenhams and M&S, so they will be easy returnable.

I wil check out everywhere suggested, though, I could do with getting out if the habit of continually bargain hunting, for myself, there is some lovely bras that I've been missing out on!

Primark have some gorgeous sets in atm- £3-6.
Also sainsburys have some surprisingly nice underwear and occasionally asda.

I don't think anyone is disputing that they could have large knockers as teenagers... what people are questioning is the band size, as most people buy too large a band size, leading to ill fitting bras. E.g. I'm size 18, and my band size (ribcage measurement) is 36...

Dawndonnaagain · 26/11/2013 11:55

17 year old twins. One is 36dd and the other 36c. Both have been measured properly. One is a size eight on the bottom, the other a ten.
