I hate 3/4 length sleeves on dresses

I hate 3/4 length sleeves. It's bloody freezing. So why put 3/4 length sleeves on any winter clothes. If ypu put on a cardigan it ruins the look of the dress. Manufacturers I just don't get it. It's winter, we are nearer the Arctic than the Equator fgs.

i know what you mean. just been shopping and seen loads of knitwear in the sales with 3/4 length sleeves. of course they didn't sell, they're rubbish!

You should try having short arms. 3/4 sleeves are the only ones that fit me

I like them. But then I also have cardigans with 3/4 length sleeves. It isn't cold enough inside at the moment to need full length sleeves for warmth, and I tend to push long sleeves up to keep them out of the way which eventually stretches the cuffs. If I am outside I have a coat (with full length sleeves) on anyway.

I find 3/4 length sleeves far more flattering than full length ones.

I thought they had been rebranded from 3/4 length to 'bracelet length'?

Arm warmers are the solution for under coats but agree that 3/4 cardigan sleeves look odd over anything full length.

They're great in spring/summer. Winter not so much. I have a really nice wool dress with 3/4 sleeves and it just doesn't get worn...

I have big hands and think long sleeves make them look bigger, as it's like sleeve--sleeve-cuff-HANDS

I find the 3/4 length breaks it up a bit, gives me a bit of elegant wristage to distract attention from the bunches of bananas!

I love a three quarter and hate a full sleeve.

I hate three quarter sleeves, especially knitted tunics that are supposed to keep you warm. Monsoon and Boden are typical culprits, although I do like their other clothes.

Believe it or not 3/4 length sleeves make your legs look better. Crazy but true

I am forever hunting down 3/4 length sleeves. Short sleeves are too cold in an air con office and long sleeves flap around my wrists.

I hate 3/4 length sleeves because I feel the cold easily, and when my wrists are cold the rest of me is. I have long arms and 3/4 length sleeves usually just covers my elbows, so I need to wear a cardigan over my 3/4 sleeve dresses as we have an over air-conditioned office.

I don't think they are any more flattering than full length sleeves and don't understand why anyone would.

They show off the thinnest part of your body. The wrist. I'm just regurgitating a statement from a style book.

Feeling cold in 3/4 sleeves is a good reason to dislike them but taking that aside - they actually do make you look thinner. Thinner and colder maybe :)

I wear full length jersey sleeves under my 3/4 sleeve stuff and keep cosy. I hate 3/4 sleeves otherwise

And I've never looked at anyone and thought they look better in 3/4 than full length sleeves.

I have really long arms and almost all long sleeves come up 3/4 length on me...

I tried on a tunic in M&S and put it back.

I wanted a plain backdrop for a couple of big scarves.

Felt daft all toasty warm in the middle with tunic and scarf and freezing arms.

3/4 are great for me for work - hospital and it's bare below the elbows in clinical areas.
