lurkingaround · 12/10/2013 22:13

Love them noddy. Just too high for me! I love &other stories shoes.

Sahmof3 · 12/10/2013 22:14

You've all bought some lovely things...I'm so jealous!

galletti · 12/10/2013 23:04

Don't know if this has been said before but MNHQ - Discussions of the Day - 'Fall Fashion' - eh? Has HQ relocated to the States or what? Now off to read the rest of the thread Smile

I'm on a bit of a skirt buzz, have bought this from Hush, which is expensive for what it is but really bloody nice. It flatters my big bum/small waist, but I reckon it would also work well for skinny types.
And also this kilt from MV which I love. Again, expensive for what it is (even with a discount) and I suspect it will bobble like a bastard, but I feel good when I wear it and it goes with almost everything I have.

I now want Lurking's leather mini too..

Also recently purchasedthese boots from Clarks, which surprisingly and amazingly make my feet look small and dainty. And they're practical, waterproof, gortexy stuff (in case my dad's reading).

MrsKoala · 13/10/2013 03:34

Oh god! this is why i ration my exposure to S&B - I am only on page one and already want that phase eight top and the next soft jumpers - and those are the only 2 links i've clicked so far. I'm scared of clicking anymore... I do really need some new tops tho....

I am coveting some form of dark red/navy cord trousers this season for some reason. So if anyone has seen any nice ones let me know :) - i have a big bum so a skinny/straight cut is not my friend.

trixymalixy · 13/10/2013 03:42

Atterley road have some red and blue cords in the sale down from £80 to £20, they look quite slim but say they are stretchy?

ringaringarosy · 13/10/2013 08:16

pffft.im 7 months pregnant.and even when im not pregnant im a size 16-18,my goal next year (apart from not getting pregnant again, for the 6th time)is to lose some weight so i can wear lovely clothes again!

LightasaBreeze · 13/10/2013 08:21

M & S have got bootleg cords in various colours. Probably not very S&B but cords are cords and I am going to try them in wine and petrol colours as they are only £18

Bootleg cords

PervCat · 13/10/2013 08:23

It's like eating pate. You never want to when you aren't pregnant.

These shoes, I'm really pleased with them.

Dancergirl · 13/10/2013 09:06

I'm thinking about this Henley dress from Hush:

www.hush-uk.com/daywear/dresses_skirts/henley_dress_mid_grey_marl.htm

Anyone bought this?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/10/2013 09:29

I like those shoes, Orchid.

duckyfuzz · 13/10/2013 09:44

Koala I have cords from gap, they are stretchy and lovely I have burgundy and dark grey

CambridgeBlue · 13/10/2013 09:48

Dancergirl I find Hush stuff a bit hit and miss - looks beautiful but often poor quality for the (high) price. But I had 2 of the Henley dresses last year and was really pleased with them - comfy, flattering, retain their shape and wash well. I've got grey and navy and am contemplating the red this year.

Tedder · 13/10/2013 10:12

Am going to order some dresses from & other stories - what's the sizing like? I'm a 10/12. Never seen the website before....love it!

trixymalixy · 13/10/2013 10:32

I was going to order a dress from other stiries, but £6 postage ?!?!?

Dancergirl · 13/10/2013 10:40

Thanks cambridge what's their sizing like? I'm a 12 so s/m or m/l?

CambridgeBlue · 13/10/2013 10:52

The small-medium-large thing is a bit annoying as I think many people are between sizes. I am 10-12 on top and 12-14 bottom so I went for the S-M - the buttons pull a tiny bit over my boobs but I prefer that than it being too baggy.

teta · 13/10/2013 11:01

I have a few Henley dresses.I love them.I have managed to accidentally tumble dry them and they were still fine.I am 12 top and 14 bottom and I have the M/L size. Its not loose on.

Dancergirl · 13/10/2013 11:10

I am bigger on my top half, bigger boobs/shoulders and slim hips. Shall I get M/L?

used2bthin · 13/10/2013 11:33

I love that first skirt from hush and think tube skirts may actually suit me but just no idea what t o wear with them? Baggy jumper?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/10/2013 12:33

Tube skirts are brilliant - I'm a 5'2 hour glass and the shorter ones in particular are very flattering. I wear them with a fitted but tummy covering top and a blazer for work, or with a not too loose sweatshirt or jumper and a biker jacket at weekends. I recommend the Whistles ones, or the Topshop double layer ones. Whistles with a discount ones work out at good value.
