Comfy yet funky flat shoes? Where?

Where can I get a pair of comfy, yet funky flat shoes that are robust enough to wear everyday and walk lots in? Smart/casual - for wearing with jeans or casual trousers. Ideally not Mary-Jane style as I don't want too much sick showing! I had a baby 6 months ago and walk loads with the pram, and the Converse all star sneakers I currently wear nearly every day aren't doing my feet any favours.

I had thought Clarks would fit the bill, but they're all a bit ugly!

If walking loads, and in winter, have you looked at DM range of boots and shoes? Eg

store.drmartens.co.uk/p-7837-dr-martens-gayle-boot.aspx

I used to walk loads with pram/buggy - babies now 16 and 12 though!

CityDweller · 02/10/2013 07:58

Hmm, I had no idea DM did non-DM style stuff. I quite like them, although possibly a bit too clunky? And I have loads of boots. I'm looking more for right now than winter.

Camper?

Personally, I hate them but others may think they are fab!

SundaySimmons · 02/10/2013 08:37

I do like these though

Iatemyskinnyperson · 02/10/2013 08:59

I have these

Got mine half price in local shoe shop, bit pricey otherwise. The leather is gorgeous & they have support built in, not totally flat like converse. Have a look at the other styles, some of this seasons are http://www.paulgreen-shop.de/en/en/woman-shoes/paul-green-shoes/1289-022/2532460005 nice

Iatemyskinnyperson · 02/10/2013 09:00

fixed link

CityDweller · 02/10/2013 09:44

Just noticed typo in my original post - 'sick' should be 'sock'!

I love those Paul Green ones Iatemyskinnyperson! Where's your 'local shoe shop'? At that price I'd want to try on first...

Fitflops, always Fitflops. The biggest problem is they'll spoil your feet forever - you'll not want to wear anything else. They've really upped their game recently; much more choice of style, size and colour.

I saw a teenager in some nice Kickers today. They were black and shoes not boots.

Damnautocorrect · 02/10/2013 18:00

Hush puppies had some lovely boots

Lazysuzanne · 02/10/2013 18:02

sounds like you belong on a high heels thread Waferthin, I bet you think these are really fucking ugly

I love them look at the wide toe box, I am rather obsessed with letting my toes spread out:o

SteppedOnaFrog · 02/10/2013 18:05

I have the ballet version of those in orange. Not as comfortable as Softinos but I like them.

I have to wear flat shoes with good support however I also prefer dresses/skirts to trousers now that is a dilemma finding nice flat shoes that look good with tights and skirts
