Comfy yet funky flat shoes? Where?

Where can I get a pair of comfy, yet funky flat shoes that are robust enough to wear everyday and walk lots in? Smart/casual - for wearing with jeans or casual trousers. Ideally not Mary-Jane style as I don't want too much sick showing! I had a baby 6 months ago and walk loads with the pram, and the Converse all star sneakers I currently wear nearly every day aren't doing my feet any favours.

I had thought Clarks would fit the bill, but they're all a bit ugly!

I love leather sneakers and currentjy have PF Flyers and FitFlops. Land's End fo.some very similar to thoae Paul Green ones.

Ah, I'm with you Wafer...some shoes are a bit too 'funky' for me too

I think we are seeing some different interpretations of funky here so I looked up the definition, there are a few;

modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way
( some of the shoes on here most definitely are not stylish)

fashionable in a way that is unusual and shows a lot of imagination ( again some of those linked to would never be called fashionable)

a : odd or quaint in appearance or feeling
b : lacking style or taste
c : unconventionally stylish
(two out of three and obviously what some people consider the meaning of funky)

Google "Duckfeet shoes". Danish, but ship to UK for free. Conker shoes in the Totnes are similar.

my vans trainers much admired: turquoise leopard print. Keith Lemon recently wore the 'chips' print ones on Celebrity Juice, with red socks to look like tomato ketchup {grin]

ChocChaffinch - I've never been a wearer of heels yet I've still got knackered knees and in theory I could be a grandmother at my age.

I realise that its personal taste but (the Dr Martens aside) the shoes suggested on this thread have just surprised me.

Oh, I love most of the shoes on this thread but I have to walk a mile either way to get to work. I see women wobbling along on 4 inch plus heels and think 'Why? How?'
