Biker Style Boots?

Ollybear · 01/10/2013 13:07

I've been looking everywhere for some biker boots and really need to purchase as mine from last year are falling apart. I want black ones.

So far, I'm drawn to these:

Clarks - too frumpy/plain?

Pull & Bear

Zara

Anyone found anything nicer? I'd prefer silver hardware rather than gold which has limited my options.

I've just bought these - 20% off at HoF so £95 Riff boot

I wanted them so much I paid for next day evening delivery, they are just what I wanted and will look good with skinny jeans and short dresses too.

Ollybear · 01/10/2013 13:46

Those are absolutely gorgeous.

Is there a code for 20% thats still valid?

I've bought the Russell and Bromley Aquatalia Biker Boots in black, silver hardware. Expensive but gorgeous (sorry can't do links). Can't wait to wear them!

OKnotOK · 01/10/2013 14:27

Clarks do a better biker boot than that...ive been drooling over them (cant remember what they are called).

itsnothingoriginal · 01/10/2013 14:29

Those Dune ones are lovely. Quite like the Clarks ones as was eyeing those myself but weren't available for ages! Not keen on the others you linked OP, sorry!

NotAsTired · 01/10/2013 14:53

I just bought these Clarks ones yesterday with 20% off.

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 01/10/2013 17:30

i got mine from asda on saturday for £26. quite comfy so far. they have them on their website but i cant link.

i will go now... i dont think i should offer advice in s&b Blush Grin

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 01/10/2013 17:32

I love those Clarks ones notastired. I was hoping I could pick up a pair in the January sale.

bishboschone · 01/10/2013 17:39

I never get the fascination of Clark's on mumsnet s and b pages. Their boots always seem a bit 'off'.. Those dune ones are beautiful and stylish . Clark's .. Not so much and for similar money I would get those dune ones!

SofaCanary · 01/10/2013 17:50

Much prefer the Dune ones.

SilverSixpence · 01/10/2013 17:50

I agree I love the Dune ones, the Clarks ones are not great although some of their stuff is nice

Usamommy1 · 01/10/2013 18:00

I love these [http://www.zalando.co.uk/harley-davidson-belinda-cowboy-biker-boots-black-hd111c006-802.html?gclid=CO2P4paN9rkCFTLMtAod1jYAag&wmc=SEM44_CR_EN_2103106.&ef_id=Uf0PtQAABXXlaO7K:20131001165544:s]

Usamommy1 · 01/10/2013 18:02

Hopeless, but maybe someone smarter can do a real link for me?

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 01/10/2013 18:07

I have these H&M
boots which were even cheaper after discount codes.
Fake sheepskin inside, too. So warm and comfy.

itstheyearzero · 01/10/2013 18:34

I got these on Saturday . They are mega comfy. not leather but I don't mind if they only get me through a couple of winters ad I will probably want something different by then

Ollybear · 01/10/2013 18:52

bishboschone - I know what you mean. I only really considered Clarks as I have gift vouchers so they'd be 'free'. Agree the Dune ones are stunning.

Just ordered these from M&s but not arrived yet. They are in black or brown.

bishboschone · 01/10/2013 19:13

Ollybear.. Glad it's not just me.. They always seem too shiny and heels are always too big : high for flat boots or something and just not quite right. Nearly but not quite ..I would never buy shoes or boots from Clark's as an adult but it seems I am in the minority.

bishboschone · 01/10/2013 19:15

We need higgle back with her discount code.Smile

nipersvest · 01/10/2013 19:57

i did a boot thread a couple of weeks ago and in the end bought dr martens diza biker boots in brown but they do them in black too, the black is nice as it's a rugged matt finish. they are really comfy, i chose them because i wanted short ones and also a bit of a heel.

NotAsTired · 01/10/2013 20:08

Those Dune ones are lovely but £119?? Plus, I think I would get really irritated having to unbuckle the top buckle just to unzip it - or am I looking at it wrong?

Mae34 · 01/10/2013 20:26

There's a few of those Dune ones on E bay- I wasn't as impressed when they arrived thought the toe was a bit pointy for me so I resold them...

bishboschone · 01/10/2013 20:29

On the John Lewis reviews try say you can slip them on.

higgle · 01/10/2013 21:03

My Dune boots are 20% off at House of Fraser, you don't have to unzip or undo top buckle to get them on, the toe isn't pointy at all.
Nice to feel I've made a good buy - my stuff lasts me ges.
