So I need to make up a shopping list for him, so I need help ladies Grin. The shopping list must include the store/pharmacy name. I want him to bring back some Clarins for me, do you think it will be cheaper in stores in France or at Duty Free?

I think I need some of the L'Occitane hand creams too Wink. Where would be best to get these from?

What else do I really have to have? Wink.

Just a bit of background, I use Clarins mostly, tried some Clinique but it causes terrible eczema, so I would say combination sensitive skin. (never had a problem with any Clarins product though).

He will be in Toulouse and Paris and possibly a quick stopover in UK. He is flying from SA direct to Paris. (this info is for duty free purposes Wink.)

Bioderma any pharmacy

How about having a look on www.sephora.fr/
They don't have exactly the same as the American shops, but they are still pretty good.
You might find that some things are cheaper and that some are more expensive in the UK, so it might be worth checking that when you're making your list.

Marionnaud is great too: www.marionnaud.fr/
Their own brushes are very good - cheaper than Mac's, but the quality is as good IMO. You can see them here: www.marionnaud.fr/MARIONNAUD,BB684.html#pline

I love Guerlain - their perfumes and makeup are amazing, the majority of their skincare doesn't work for me though.
By Terry is supposed to be a good brand.

For pharmacy brands, look at this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1851336-French-pharmacy-beauty-brands

I've heard very good things about Lierac, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

pharmacy :
im a huge nuxe fan,the serum and the night cream are very good,so is the mask, bioderma has a very gentle exfoliator ,fab stuff, leaves the skin very soft.
perfumes:
guerlain has an amazing tiny boutique on st honore, very exclusive perfumes you wont find anywhere, and close to it on rue de castiglione is annick goutal, lovely perfumes and they do an amazing rose scented hand cream
i tried repetto perfume when i was in south of france last month,it smells very fresh and light ,they have it in sephora, which is ace for everything ,and they give great freebies,

I always find myself disappointed at duty free prices when travelling. Things are much cheaper in the UK than what with offers, sale items, boots/debenhams points. l'Occitane has always got online offers on.

Yes to Bioderma from most big pharmacies. Small ones can be a rip off. I live in France and I still usually buy it from ebay in UK!

Love all Les Petit Marseilles shampoos and conditioners. Good offers in Super U.
