Boots for narrow calves?

Would love some fitted zip-up boots (but all the boots I try look like wellies). There must be some other people on here with my problem? Any recommendations? Thank you :)

My friend gets hers from Duo I think, she has tiny calves.

I've bought from Duo and been very happy with them. Somewhat more expensive but bought an LK Bennett pair last year which are a perfect fit. Have had Jones he Bootmaker recommended on here but haven't bought from hem.

I have very slim calves and ankles. I got a pair of Bertie boots from John lewis.

I second LK Bennett. Pricy, but my black suede knee highs are still going strong after 8 years so good cost per wear! In general their shoes are good for slim feet and calves do you don't get the baggy ankle/welly boot look!

Duo's sizes may not go small enough for the OP, their smallest size is too big for me.

OP - LK Bennett, Peter Kaiser (available at John Lewis) & Robert Clergerie all do stretch suede boots that you have can taken in by a good cobbler. That's what I do. Example of Peter Kaiser

And there's a cheaper French brand called JB Martin (available at Sarenza.co.uk & Zalando.co.uk) who do stretch material boots that are not too big - like this (I still have to have them taken in though). Note - their leather boots come up bigger.

I don't agree that LK Bennett come up that small. But at least they do stretch suede boots that you can have taken in fairly easily, which you can't do with leather boots.

Someone needs to do a brand specifically for small calves!

I bought the Jones slim boots in dark brown a couple of years ago. They are great for my skinny legs, and lined so warm too

The Jones range for slim legs has a calf size of 14 inches (36cm) which is not particularly small.

Duo's smallest calf size is 30cm. But their boots are not very stylish.

My calves are 28.5cm so neither are any use to me. For anyone else in the same boat, your best bet is to have them taken in.

Twinkle you might find you are ok with DUO if there are any styles you like. I've been buying from them for about 6 years and have calf widths from 32- 34. Each style is different and TBH a centimetre doesn't make much difference- adding thicker tights or socks takes up the slack!
I think their styles this year are better but can't bring myself to splash out again- already have 3 pairs.

My calves are really skinny so I put either a pair of leg warmers or some knee high socks on over my tights which helps a lot.

I sprayed mine with water repellent as soon as I got them. So far no leaks even tho I have heard they do, and they are so so comfy and well fitting I actually don't care if they do! They do get a scuffed look quite quickly (I have brown ones) but that just improves them :)

I waited til Amazon had them on sale and got mine for £80 :D but would have paid more.

Much better value than my UGGS which after 18 months went through at the toes :(

OK, so I went into Office to try on the Fly Mols, and, as Screwfox (great name) says: they're horrible.

At least they are on me. On me, they still had a bit of a welly effect at the top. They are also very up and down (shapeless) - so they made my legs look shapeless, quite lardy (it's to do with proportions), and as though I have cankels.

Important note ;): they looked fine on top of my jeans - quite nice in fact.

But I'm looking for zip-up boots to wear with dresses or skirts, so I'd quite like them to be a bit more flattering; maybe a thinner leather so that they follow the shape of my legs.

That said, I definitely don't want those horrible pull-on fabric stretchy things (they always seem to sag at the ankle whenever I try them on, aside from any other style issues).I also want boots I can walk in. Is that too much to ask? I'm sure skinny legged gals in the 60s had decent boots...

PS DON'T mean to offend Medusa and others who own these boots - if they suited me, I would have bought them, since I like the way they look. They just don't suit ME. Bah.
