That will look wonderful.

Given the length, could you get hold of some thigh high velvet (or suede) boots in one of the jewel colours?

Herhonesty · 25/08/2013 13:53

I could ...my husband might not let me out the house though... lol!

That's gorgeous! Boots like that wouldn't work at all. What are you accessorising it with?

holidaysarenice · 25/08/2013 14:27

Love the dress, hate the boots idea!!

MortifiedAdams · 25/08/2013 14:34

Love the dress, I would wear similar to these with it.

deborahlogan · 25/08/2013 14:35

Dress looks amazing.

MortifiedAdams · 25/08/2013 14:38

Bag like this?

verytellytubby · 25/08/2013 17:53

Live the dress.

verytellytubby · 25/08/2013 17:53

Oops love! Grin

PrincessKitKat · 25/08/2013 17:56

Love that dress!

Totally agree with Mortified - deep red suede courts instantly leapt to mind.

KosherBacon · 25/08/2013 18:37

Awesome dress although huge no no no no on the boots idea. Another one agreeing with a deep jewel suede court to make it season appropriate.

Kezztrel · 25/08/2013 21:17

That's perfect for a winter wedding! You need these sugarsnap.tumblr.com/post/5821699720

Thought I'd seen a thread about this dress....I tried it on at the weekend and really like it, wanting for a wedding ( mid Oct ) but have no clue about what to wear with it if it's chilly. I'm always, always cold so I think I need to have something to wear over the top until the alcohol warms my cockles but what?
Herhonesty did you get the new look shoes? Were they a good match? When's the wedding you're going to? Just thinking if you say Oct 12th, maybe I should look for something else....just in case Grin!

bobkate · 03/09/2013 23:57

Sad the new look shoes are out of stock in my size Sad. Does anyone want the challenge of finding something that would work as well in a size 4, 4.5 or possibly a 5.

LeoandBoosmum · 04/09/2013 02:27

Teal heels or if you can't find those, hot pink/

bobkate · 04/09/2013 09:40

Like the sound of teal shoes, will have a look round later. What about something over the top? Should I try to find cover upper whatever it might be thing, shoes and bag to all match? Would that even be possible?

VeeAndTea · 04/09/2013 09:45

these are £40

VeeAndTea · 04/09/2013 09:47

not sure about the bow on these

VeeAndTea · 04/09/2013 09:49

a bit lower

VeeAndTea · 04/09/2013 09:51

taupe

Wishfulmakeupping · 04/09/2013 09:56

Love the dress- like the lower heel ones vee linked

bobkate · 04/09/2013 09:59

Thanks veeandtea If possible I'd like to get them from somewhere I can try them on, only I'm between a four and a five, so it's a bit hit and miss as to what size I am, dependant on the shop.
The original linked NewLook ones I still think were my faves. Defo not so keen on the bow ones or the lower ones but thanks.
Any idea of what to get to wear over the top of the dress? or do I just get a pashmina and be done with it? I'm forever fiddling with those though, and can never get the 'just slung casually over the shoulder, looks effortlessly chic' look that every one else seems to manage to get. I just look like I'm flailing around, fighting with a long piece of woolly scarf.

shameless self bump for the evening crowd Smile
