I'm another fan of patterned trousers.

I quite like these but not sure about camouflage??

Shop and Linus I always cut a really short fringe for DS, think Dave hill from Slade. He will cringe at the photos in years to come!

I have just taken delivery of these. Amazing packaging from Matches, I want to keep them just for the patterned box they came in.

shopafrolic · 27/08/2013 13:55

Lovely shoes MrsR - saw these and thought of you now you mention camo........

OP posts:
MrsRadicchio · 27/08/2013 14:03

I like them - you are v good at identifying my taste!

Annianni · 27/08/2013 14:22

Oh no Shop, that is funny :o

I've found that standing Ds2 at the bathroom sink, filled with water and his boats, gives me 5 mins to trim his back and sides.

Sometimes he'll let me trim his fringe, using my 'special blue scissors'
I'm taking them to the barbers this week, he point blank refused to even sit in the chair last time so we shall see...

I may be sharing photos later of myself in the J Brand boyfriends from The Dressing room.
I'm undecided on the fit. They feel too big, but I'm used to jeans you have to wriggle into :o

Annianni · 27/08/2013 14:27

Those camo trousers are lovely.
Fab slippers too MrsR.

Dh was astounded by the amount of clothes, shoes, Matches boxes etc that appeared during our room move yesterday Blush
He can't understand how one person can have so much stuff :o

I can't wait till we have proper wardrobes and he'll go back to not knowing the half of it

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2013 14:32

Turq it's lovely to have you here, and all the delurkers. I still love patterns and prints still. Sometimes it's nice to nonchalantly wander in during a trend and decide to do it. I think so anyway as it often takes me ages to get round to doing something! And I'd say it's all still going strong. I bet J Crew do lovely ones as Sleep says.

I love Etoile Linus, would love a jacket too. Really like it.

MrsR yes you look great in a printed trouser (no s hehe). Thanks so much for your pm, responding. Love the slippers. Well done getting your size I just had a look and nearly all gone.

Shop oh no, but funny too.

Ds2 had his last hair cut at home as he has grown out of the miniature car they use at the hairdressers as a seat. He's too big for it and I know he will not be impressed. Will go back for next one.

Anni have you done your links?

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2013 14:33

ie did I miss them? Not as in have you done your lines Grin

Annianni · 27/08/2013 14:41

Turquoise, I used to buy lots of home magazines but there's only so many glass extensions and 10k sofa's I can look at before I get a bit bored.
And although I love some of the looks in Elle Decoration etc, they're not suitable for us at the moment.
So I look online now.

I know what sort of look that I want.
Our house is a typical 1930's semi, so we're replacing the doors, to what would have originally been there.
We've put a roll top bath and metro tiles in the bathroom etc.
We've not needed an architect, as we're not adding any extra bits.
The house is big enough for us, it just desperately needs updating and re-jigging a few of the rooms downstairs.

Annianni · 27/08/2013 14:44

:o Marsha
I'm mnetting from my car, with Ds2 snoring in the back.
Just nipping into m&s to collect an order, then I'll go home and do them. before you shout at me

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2013 14:47

haha, you're excused Anni Grin

shopafrolic · 27/08/2013 14:54

Good idea about the sink Anni do I need to buy proper scissors? He Looks such a numpty! Now I know why my mum imposed years of bowl cuts on me! probably why I was lovely that haircut in the Vogue AW edition Grin

Poor you Shop!

Dh takes ds to the barbers and he has a lolly while the barber cuts his hair. He looks forward to it.

The kids are at an activity so we have 2.5 hours free! Dh is working.

Turq, you should come to a meet up. Everyone I have met so funny, lovely in real life too.

mignonette · 27/08/2013 15:21

I ruined my toddler sons Modelling career by cutting his fringe myself one week before his new head shots were due. I cut higher and higher until it ended near the top of his head. He looked like a a mug shot. Up to that point he'd had loads of work including the M&B cover, Parents cover and two commercials then nada! The headshot guy called Hal Jeyes was appalled then convulsed w/ laughter. Poor son couldn't work out why we all fell apart laughing every time we looked at him.

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2013 15:42

Novice are you coming in Oct or did you say you were away?
Turquoise Houzz is addictive and v expensive for ideas. I'd say living in a house for a bit before doing work is preferable but that's not always possible. My house has evolved and really works for our family. After the work it will be perfect apart from no fields and sheep at the back for DH and I love this thread for the very reasons you stated and also because it's a lot more than fashion talk.Smile
Anni love the secreted Matches boxes!
Shop I've been told theres a hairdresser in a local soft play place near here who sits the kids in little cars to cut their hair!

School shoes done horrible BUT while I was I. Daniel buying DDs shoes ffs I had a good look at a huge selection of Ash boots, saw these looked soooo cosy what's happening to me? and a fabulous MBM Jacobs grey bag for QueenC can't find on website, will google
Also tried this blazer which was lovely and I now really want, gah!

Ironing update.....1 shirt

Annianni · 27/08/2013 15:50

Aw Mig :o
Although the photo of ds2 on pin has a rather dodgy short fringe...

I use my small sewing scissors for his fringe Shop, he likes the blue handles... and they're very sharp so I can do it quick.
And I use baby scissors for trimming the sides and back, incase he moves.

Links for Marsha :o

When dh sent me out shopping last week, I tried alsorts on.
Didn't buy anything, but had a good look and made a ginormous birthday and christmas list

Lovely woolly Whistles biker fab to look at, itchy to wear though. And it made me look quite chunky. Could be nice on someone slim though, with long sleeves underneath.

Whistles coat love this, need that Grazia code though.

I wanted to try this Cos coat but Selfridges didn't have it, and it's now sold out online.

I did try this grey cocoon coat and it's lovely... so soft, not too keen on the fabric content, but it's a contender.

Zara coat was disappointing... itchy fabric, rough feeling, and not finished very well, loose threads all over.

Fab camo sweater too thin a knit for me though.

Love these Marant boots
And in black too
Didn't dare try them though.

Also saw Marant Jenny's in pale grey suede and black leather which were gorgeous

More too come...

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2013 15:55

here you go...bag for QueenC. Daniel were selling it for £459! cheeky

mignonette · 27/08/2013 16:03

Blimey Dry that bag'd make a great Xmas gift for my Sister (who worships at the feet of MJ)....

Anni Love the Whistles Biker. Wonder whether a treatment/dry clean or wash'd sort out the itchiness? Probably not best to try though unless you are married to Roman Abramovitch and can throw away said ruined item without a care!

Annianni · 27/08/2013 16:07

I love the look of this Cos coat

Also this grey one

I spotted this cardigan yesterday, but whilst wondering who the designer was!? It sold out in my size, along with this brown one too

These are the lovely cowboys who I was wrestling with last week...
I've also cowboyed the long wall on the left.
The dodgy looking cupboard on the edge of the photo is yet to be painted.
I'm trying to convince dh that blackboard paint would be fun :o
I've got a pot of red blackboard paint somewhere unless dh has binned it to thwart me

These are the J Brand boyfriends that i'm undecided on.
Also ordered these Hudson's which I already have in a different denim and a smaller size
Unfortunately at the moment, only 2 pairs of jeans fit me properly... the rest are hanging on the rail taunting me...

I've taken a couple of dodgy looking photos of me in the new jeans and added to a secret board on Pin, need to see how to share them now.
Apologies for the grubby looking mirror, and I swear i'm not that dumpy looking irl! :o

Annianni · 27/08/2013 16:12

How do I share a secret pin board, does anyone know?
[thick emoticon]

Annianni · 27/08/2013 16:18

Right... think i've done it.
I've added a photo of the Hudson's, which are a good fit on me.
and 2 pics of the J brands.
The J brand's are loose, but not baggy... which I think they are supposed to be a bit looser, but i'm fat, so I fill them... sort of :o
Please ignore the massive turn ups, they need shortening.

Sleepwhenidie · 27/08/2013 16:22

That's hysterical Shop and Mig. DH cuts the DC's hair, tells them stories about 'Mr Scissors the barber' that he makes up as he goes - I am not allowed to listen Grin!

Annianni · 27/08/2013 16:25

I'm off to hide for a bit Blush
Apologies if i've missed anyone!

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2013 16:28

Mig I think I have a long lost twin..........Wink

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2013 16:36

Anni love the links! Love the Zara coat with the hood, shame it's scratchy and the Cos cocoon. Love the cowboys and all if it.

Do you mean on pin? I'll log in later, I've lost connection to it on the iPhone.

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2013 16:40

Can't see you Anni....
