M & S - getting something right!

Popped in today and quite a few items caught my eye-
Autograph Black leather skirt - soft and a good length unlike the two pelmets masquerading as skirts that I sent back to other stores last year.
Autograph leather fronted leggings
Stretch fabric boots with a decent heel
Autograph suede courts with a high but sensible heel for nights out.

I'm going to go for a good browse at weekend. I'd all but given up on M & S- I used to spend ££££ years ago.Definitely worth a look.

DIddled · 07/08/2013 22:27

Links are beyond me on the iPad- sorry.

Ooh you are clever Sunday! I don't think the boots are online yet- they have the lower heeled pull on but not the ones that I liked.

I honestly could have spent hundreds today- just as well I was rushing!!

Yes, but they add elastane to their cotton pants which makes them fall down Hmm

They might get the odd thing right, but when your sodding pants are falling down all you can think is that they're a bunch of piss takers.

Today's finds for me were autograph heels with insolia down to £22 from £49, leopard type print flats for £6 down from £25
Pair of 5 pocket jeggings to replace the ones I've ripped Angry and a gorgeous citrus perfume that I adored from first sniff

DIddled · 07/08/2013 22:41

Actually the leggings I like were autograph and real leather though I liked the LC version as well.

hiddenhome I have had the very same problem! It's ridiculous!

PoppyWearer · 07/08/2013 22:45

I had to pop in today to the food bit, also in a hurry, but walked through the clothes section and saw quite a few things that made me want to go back and have another look. I vaguely remember some boots I wanted to look at again. And some turquoise or blue undies.

But then I love autumn clothes, probably my favourite season after the minefield of summer.

alwaysinamuckingfuddle · 07/08/2013 22:51

Ooh ooh ooh!

I am loving those stretch boots...

RonaldMcDonald · 07/08/2013 23:07

I thought the new shop refits looked miles and miles better

the autograph section had me reconsider

Hopasholic · 07/08/2013 23:43

Will have a look tomorrow. I love autumn/ winter clothes just don't like the weather Grin

Diddled linking on iPad is dead easy, see the bar at the top which currently says www.mumsnet etc? Just stick your finger on it, 'select all' then 'copy'. Then just paste it. (have convert links automatically ticked)

Feel free to tell me to keep my beak out but we need your links Wink

Allthingspretty · 08/08/2013 07:51

Goidasitgets I was tempted by the leipard print flats today but they were £12.50 si got another pattern.

Itd probably lival branch but the new range just.looks like the same old stuff, nice to liok at but not ao good close up

tethersend · 08/08/2013 08:04

This is almost 60s-esque gorgeous... But why the zipped pockets? Confused

tethersend · 08/08/2013 08:05

They always seem to get stuff nearly right and then needlessly fuck it up with a detail- print, sleeve, zipped pockets...

WipsGlitter · 08/08/2013 08:09

Oh no. That dress is horrendous! A giant walking poo. And the price!!!

My local M&S is upgrading their beauty bit which I'm looking forward to.

tethersend · 08/08/2013 08:16

It is a bit pooey Grin but I really like it- if it didn't have stupid pockets. As usual, it's been styled by Stevie Wonder but it will definitely feature in one of the glossies with an early Twiggy type look.

It would look crap on me (literally Wink) as I'm too curvy. Would look great on a boyish figure.

alwaysinamuckingfuddle · 08/08/2013 08:22

Sorry, that dress is hideous. Shock

tethersend · 08/08/2013 08:31

Don't be sorry, I get this a lot- my taste is often at odds with S&B opinion Grin

Allthingspretty · 08/08/2013 08:33

That dreas would liik better in black. Its a horrible shiney poo colour.

orangeandemons · 08/08/2013 08:41

I went in my local flagship store on Tuesday. It was awful. Still full of the same old shit, and the older girls was terrible

TSSDNCOP · 08/08/2013 08:54

Tethers yours are usually the only safe links on MN. That dress looks like the sort of thing that only a giant turd looking for a new dress would wear.

Grin
TSSDNCOP · 08/08/2013 08:56

Allthings only if a giant turd wanted a dress to go clubbing in Grin

goodasitgets · 08/08/2013 09:54

Can't find the heels I got on the website but they're these
