That blog idea sounds very interesting mig. I love reading about other ways of life. I imagine you could find someone to teach you the techie side. Maybe the blog writers on here could point you in the right direction as to where to start? Exciting to have found something different to feel passionate about.

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 16:58

How was Yorkshire McNally?

QueenCadbury · 07/08/2013 17:10

Shop get your knitting needles out
jumper
one for Mr Shop too?

MarshaBrady · 07/08/2013 18:35

Haha Shop and Dry. When you knit one for MrShop don't forget to tell him to pose like that, looking into the middle distance.

Mig thanks for the Stella M link, I didn't get it and do you know I'm glad I didn't now as it looks like the worst kind of pink for me in that pic!

Hi Hopefully good to see you here.

Really like that skirt Skyler.

Shreddies fab dresses.

Anni gorgeous things as usual. Especially love that J Crew linen t.

Dry great work on the bag!

Well I loathe housework really, so use great cleaners, two come at the same time and blitz it. They are undeniably fab. However I have been keeping everything tidy and nice through these holidays, helps me feel less chaotic.

Hopefully · 07/08/2013 18:51

Wow those are some, um, interesting jumpers.

mignonette · 07/08/2013 19:09

Dry my courgettes are doing fabulously darling and co-ordinate with the Lang beautifully. The Lang pants are about fifteen years old so not too bad but I am well known for gardening in the most inappropriate clothing, coming in with mud caked up my stiletto's and twigs attached to knitwear.

Dry That Radley bag is part of their new range 'designed' by Laura Bailey. They are more contemporary/City bags and I really like them. Well spotted. I would wear that bag.

Hi there Negroni I haven't seen the MilliMilu bags in the flesh but I like the look of the Barcelona one online and don't John Lewis stock them? That tends to indicate good quality.

Am marvelling at those knitting pattern jumpers. Bet they'd look extra hot stretched tight over a beer belly Grin.

I wore my new ring to Waitrose. You remember I said I am death to jewellery? I received it this morning. I was swapping it from one finger to another as I am sure my middle fingers are different sizes. Anyway I dropped it in the bread aisle and chipped it. It has a 'bite' out of it. Good job it only cost £14. Cost per wear? Bloody astronomical unless chipped glass rings are your thing. DH offered to 'file it down'. Not convinced it will look like anything other than a filed down chipped ring!

mignonette · 07/08/2013 19:10

Not that I am suggesting that Mr Shop has a beer belly Shock

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 19:54

retro?

shopafrolic · 07/08/2013 19:56

Anni 2cm would stand no chance in the shoes. Shame - such a great price....... Can't understand why the straps are so ridiculously short. I don't think my ankles are super big but they are tight.
Dry firstly, great shopping. Secondly, great jumpers WOWZERS - there, in a nutshell is why I don't knit
Mig Mr Shop does have a belly and he can't blame the beer!
Negroni welcome. I've not come across those bags before sorry but do stick around here in bag safety!
I hate housework. The best clean this place gets is when MIL is due for a visit! DH won't have a cleaner in the house as we don't like 'strangers' coming in ever since our terrible burglary while we slept. So if I did go back to work I'd still have to clean too. Hmm

shopafrolic · 07/08/2013 19:57

Mig we had overgrown courgettes last night stuffed with mince and a be chanel sauce - yummy
Hopefully glad business is booming.

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 20:11

I have had a hand bag cull......8 going to charity shop tomorrow ( not good enough for Ebay) only keeping my nice bags;

2 VWestwoods (1 tartan,1 tan)
1 Mulberry tan
1 Smythson blue
1 new Radley black
1 "vintage" Vyella cross body, crocodile effect leather saddle bag...leather lined, looks new, v old from my former life sob
1 Dune stone "matelasse" effect bag that I just really like.
And a lot of clutches in various colours.

I have a red bag gap.....next year! Smile

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 20:13

Negroni now I have space for some Milli Milli bags, they look lovely!!!!Smile...hello btw,it's nice on here.

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 20:14

Shop that pounds awful....poor ypu

shopafrolic · 07/08/2013 20:18

Long time ago Dry but never forgotten. And if the bitch who ended up with my Mulberry handbag and all its contents is on here - I hope you rot.

QueenCadbury · 07/08/2013 20:39

negroni lovely bags, haven't heard of that brand though.

dry I love project dh. Is he aware of this project?

anni nice clothes. I wore my gap distressed jeans today but they annoy the hell out of me as they seem to grow by 2 sizes in 1 wear. I don't have that problem with other gap jeans. Do yours do it or do I just have a rogue pair?

Yorkshire was lovely thanks Dry. Flying visit for a family thing at my parents. Wore J Brand 814s and this cream and blue silk top with new I&I cashmere jumper for out in the garden. Do miss it there.

QueenCadbury · 07/08/2013 20:45

Meant to ask if anyone has tried cornsilk powder? Ages ago I read on a thread that it's brilliant. As it's only £8 I thought I'd try it as my bobbi brown has just run out. It's awful and gives no coverage at all. Have just ordered my £25 bb from john Lewis (I may have sneaked in a navy top....).

Also bought some Nivea BB (blemish balm..?) the other day too. Not sure what it's meant to be but fell for all the amazing claims. It's just like a tinted moisturiser and makes me look chalky. I have found also found a new lipstick, a revlon lip butter one which is really lovely and smooth.

Hello all!

Got home tonight to meet a delivery huge bouquet of flowers from dh with a card thanking me for my support. Bless.Smile

So that's put me in a good mood plus I have been in the gym this afternoon. I had noticed the weight was creeping on and I was losing my discipline exercise so I have been making a real effort to go the gym each afternoon on the way home. It means working through lunch and finishing by 5pm. My PA is a saint!

Finally, I loved my outfit today. Fenn wright Manson petite nave shift dress and matching jacket, and I had borrowed a white sash to go with it. Very like the baroness from the sound of music! Peep toe navy RB courts and my salmon pink Chloe Marcie, giving it a pop of colour. Yes, I really said thatGrin went mad on the bling! Hermes heure diamond watch, tennis bracelet, Tiffany studs and my tanzanite ring which I haven't worn in ages. I was bloody crapping myself when I left it all in the gym locker thinking dh would kill me if it got nicked. I love my ring so much I am still wearing it with my pjs and want to stroke it.Grin

BrandyAlexander · 07/08/2013 21:09

wow this cardigan is £19!

Drywhiteplease · 07/08/2013 21:11

You should have kept it on in the gym! Grin lovely of your DH to send you flowers.....

QueenCadbury · 07/08/2013 21:12

shopafrolic · 07/08/2013 21:14

Nice one Mr Novice

BrandyAlexander · 07/08/2013 21:15

I know QueenC, saw it and thought of you straight away! They do white, yellow and sand..

Dry, this is the tanzanite ring that I almost didn't get because I had red its meant to be brittle. No way I am taking it into the gym. I did accidentally leave me engagement ring in the gym once so i have form Blush
