Dungarees are WRONG...aren't they?

Tell me they are.

I've seen a pair on the Next Directory site...and they've stirred something within me. I've never worn dungarees. I've never even worn Next. But I think I want them. They look so comfy and free and happy.

Tell me I'm wrong and I need to go and have a nice lie down.

You are wrong.

Blackduck · 11/06/2006 16:22

Dungarees are for small children.....or for painting the house in....

Snafu · 11/06/2006 16:23

I wouldn't wear them out, obviously.

I would wear them to skip around the garden in, possibly with muddy/painty hands.

Go for it!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 11/06/2006 16:26

Do not wear when inebriated.........and need the bathroom. Grin

SoupDragon · 11/06/2006 16:27

Dear god, Snafu, are you sickening for something?? You'll be weaving lentils next.

Summer is the best time to wear them. In winter it is possible to inadvertantly wear a jumper/cardy/coat/all three over the top - then try stripping in a small public loo!

dungarees are excellant, but only certain ones. i have the most fantastic pair from about 10yrs ago, have looked and looked but never ever have found a nice pair since. most just look naff.

Snafu · 11/06/2006 16:31

Snort! That's true, wouldn't want to get mistaken for Kevin Rowland anytime soon.

MrsBadger · 11/06/2006 16:31

Noooooo!

instead, satisfy your dungaree lust with a dungaree-type dress from Topshop (white or black) or Gap (indigo, and quite the thing according to the weekend glossy supplements).

That modle is about 6' tall and the width of a pencil though!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 11/06/2006 16:33

Yes and no,.............Grin

DS toilet trained very quickly and was only just gone 2 when he decided to TT, thing is he still looked cute in Dungas, but after one or two, close calls and one accident, it made me wonder how one would cope inebriated. Grin

SoupDragon · 11/06/2006 16:33

Model FFS.

Snafu · 11/06/2006 16:34

And what exactly are you implying, eh soups?

OP posts:
Blackduck · 11/06/2006 16:34

See they are for DIY! (Mine are a 20 year old pair from Miss Selfridge that I pinched from the Uni paint shop - did a theatre course - were used for set painting....)

FrannyandZooey · 11/06/2006 16:35
