So I just measured by bra size and I'm shocked, is it right?

I measured under and I'm 34. Well I'm 33.5. That is taut, completely flat to skin.

When I do the lean over measurement (which made dh smirk) I measured 41inches.

Am I right thinking that makes me 34E?

I have teeny (saggy and deflated) bosoms!

Right - I'm officially de-lurking after years of loitering and my first post will be about boobs....I'm wearing a 34C that falls off my shoulders....am thinking that this is because, having measured myself according to these here rules, I am measuring 33 below and 38 at the droopiest....should I be trying on something like a 32 or 34 DD?? Shock

goodasitgets · 27/08/2013 15:39

Ewa Michelak (sp?!) is the custom sizes Smile

SorrelForbes · 27/08/2013 15:42

AutomaticShoss. Straps falling off is a sign of too big a band.

Try a 32DD/D/E. I probably wouldn't bother with a 34.

AutomaticShoes · 27/08/2013 17:27

Thank you SorrelForbes the idea of downsizing the band I can cope with but the very notion I might be a DD or an E is enough to cause me a real chuckle....I'll have to get to Debenhams or some such and hope no alarms go off when a woman of small norkage goes into the changing rooms with a few DDs over her arm...

RubberBullets · 27/08/2013 17:29

If you are going in Debenhams then remember that their Gorgeous range runs small in the band so you would probably need a size up in them.

Chwyrligwgan · 27/08/2013 20:40

Hello! Hope someone can help me Grin

I currently wear a 38DD (which I know is too small on the cups!)
I measure 36 and 46/47 over
Any ideas?

Thanks!

RubberBullets · 27/08/2013 20:44

36GG/36H

Chwyrligwgan · 27/08/2013 20:57

Really?! Interesting...
Looking forward to some new bra shopping now Grin

Just placed an order with Bravissimo for one of the Tutti Rouge, and a couple of their own half cups - god help my credit card!!!

SorrelForbes · 29/08/2013 17:23

Ooh, please report back about the Tutti Rouge (is it the Betty?). I think it would be too shallow for me though Sad

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/08/2013 17:52

Sorrel FullerFigureFullerBust has recently reviewed another tutti - it lokos lurvely

Silverstar2 · 29/08/2013 18:17

No it's the Lilliana www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/sensational-sets/lilliana-bra/pink/tu100pnk/

Should be with me tomorrow or Saturday, will let you know of course.

Silverstar2 · 30/08/2013 09:07

So my order arrived at 7.30am this morning! (I paid for standard plus delivery) only ordered at 4pm yesterday.

Unfortunatley they are all packaged up ready to be exchanged. I had ordered the Cleo Maddie, Bravissmo Paradise Plume and the Tutti Rouge Lilliana, all in 32H, as I have found that my 34's I can do up on middle hook already, and I am a 32 in CK and Pour Moi? But all 3 were too small in the back - the two ends were adrift by about an inch. I have to do them up at the front and twist round because of a frozen shoulder, so I literally need a bit of wriggle room.

Interestingly, the Lilliana seemed tiny -I have gone up to a 34HH in the others, but am ordering a 34J in that one as the I can see the cup is small.

I was so happy when they arrived this morning, now I wish I had ordered different sizes, but was thing of my bank account!

Lets hope the exchange is quick!

Got my brastop order today....mostly Cleo junas and a CK. Think I'm going to stick with the junas in the 30ff. They are not quite perfect - I think the central gore is a bit high (a bit "pokey") but it might ease off. Why do i get this??? I've had to adjust the straps a bit as left boob is bigger than right and its accomodated both ok. I like the way they don't go into my arm pit and they don't look like boulder holders as I really do have tiny boobs on my 6ft frame!

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/08/2013 12:32

Silver are they too small in the cup? Going up to the 34HH is up 2 cup sizes and the j is up 3?

Silverstar2 · 30/08/2013 16:38

Yes SC it seems tiny - I just about (with help) managed to get it done up the right way round in the end, and it was TINY. The one I tried was a 32H, and my usual 34's can be an H, or in CK HH so I have kind of gone for it........... I am not sure if it will be too big, but I do find that I can more easily check/see if a cup is too big rather than too small, so am going at it this way instead.

We shall see........! I am looking at it that if the 34 HH/J's are too big, I know that the H should be ok........... ???

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/08/2013 17:03

No that's fine just checking - I couldn't remember what your usual size and occasionally people get the down a back up a cup thing reversed :)

nomorecrumbs · 30/08/2013 17:12

Passthecake my Cleo June is a bit high in the central gore as well, it used to dig in a bit and leave a red, but not sore, mark...but I've worn it about a dozen times now and it's starting to loosen up.

What I have learnt from this thread is that my boobs naturally rest practically under my armpits Shock I always thought I was small of boob but I think I'm just more flat and...ergh...I hate that description of fried-egg boobs but maybe that does apply to me. More 28 band bras are needed to rectify this.

AintNobodyGotTimeFurThat · 30/08/2013 17:32

I measure 36 below bust, 43.5 (basically 44) over bust and 38/39 over the bust.

Does that make me 40E, is that correct?

I am absolutely terrible at these bra sizing things!

My boobs are medium sized, small for a BFing woman though I would say, which I am.

OTOH I have lost a bit of weight recently, so that might be why. I was 12 stone and now just under 11 stone which is rare I presume 5 months after giving birth?

I was 12 stone when I got pregnant and only gained a pound during pregnancy, thanks to morning sickness.

AintNobodyGotTimeFurThat · 30/08/2013 17:35

Sorry 37/38 on the last one sorry, did it the wrong way around.

It nearly measured 35 on the below bit but I think that really can't be right.

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/08/2013 17:56

No, step away from the 40s. If you are measuring 36/44 you need around a 36FF. You might also want to try 34G and size around those

Silverstar2 · 30/08/2013 18:08

To be honest SC my size has changed so much over the last year - due to these threads! When I first came to them I was wearing 38D - thanks to M & S of course, and now am about a 32/34 GG/H/HH as I have all of the above I am currently wearing in different styles/brands. I measure 35.5/46.5, and I have 'squidge'! About a month ago I was wearing all 34's, but recently have tried a few brands (Pour Moi? and CK) that are 32's.......... also the cup varies, and I find that it has got bigger! Not that my breasts have grown, just I learn more about how it should fit, and I have been more confident about going up a cup size or so and finding that it works for me.

I have also learnt that I have one bigger than the other, and that I have shallow breasts, which are wide set, and start under my arms somewhere!

All thanks to you guys! So I have gone for bigger cups this time, and will see how that goes - as I say probably too big, but I may be surprised :)

AintNobodyGotTimeFurThat · 30/08/2013 19:05

I think one of my breasts is bigger than the other, too.

But I am wonky all other, one leg is longer than the other too.

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/08/2013 19:24

Have a read of the article here on how to handle asymmetry :)

lollylaughs · 31/08/2013 12:19

I hope someone can help me with sizing please. Just measured both dd (age 11 with boobies one year now). I can't believe this is right, but it is.... Under bust 25 and over bust 30.5. This makes her a d cup right? At 11 yrs old?? Not sure about band size as the 28's we tried when buying first bras were too tight....

And me: worn 34 b all my life and I measured under bust 29.5 and over bust standing 33 and the dangle over was 34. How do I go with the half sizing? Am I right I should be wearing a 30d ?? Just perplexed as I always felt 34 was right.......

Thanks.
