OK, we have:

36E
36FF/G and 38F/FF
32E/F and 34DD/E

Those with 4 sizes have more because they have an odd band size so you might want to try both upper and lower but the smaller band size is more likely to be the correct one unless they are very slender (i.e not much/any fat around the ribs)

Amrapaali · 10/07/2013 13:17

Ohh, you are in the right place. I now have the most perfect pair ofbreasts (ahem) thanks to just one bra intervention thread I read on here. It wasn't even an intervention for ME!

M&S measured me as 34G, but now after MN, I'm ensconced in Freya 32HH and its brilliant! BRILLIANT, I tell you! My whole posture has changed. Just wish I'd come here eons ago..

I'm excited by another bra intervention thread. Can you tell I'm excited??

Amrapaali · 10/07/2013 13:18

Um, I'll just stay quiet in the corner and watch the magic unfold Smile

Bullets · 10/07/2013 14:31

I have just bought a fabric tape measure specially for this purpose!

I'm 32 and 40, does that mean 32FF???

Bullets · 10/07/2013 14:32

And any recommendations where I get good, but not to spensive bras?? Ideally online ordering as don't get to shops much! Thank you xx

Bullets · 10/07/2013 14:33

^too!

rubylovesshopping · 10/07/2013 14:36

look at other threat for post describing scoopibg and get her to do it

Bunbaker · 10/07/2013 16:15

How come there are so many buxom ladies on MN?

MirandaWest · 10/07/2013 16:29

There aren't. It's just that people are realising that they have been wearing a back size too big and cup size too small.

I have 30C breasts. They do not really need a bra. But are C cups :)

MirandaWest · 10/07/2013 16:32

Where can you buy bras relatively in expensively that are smaller than a D cup? Not that D is necessarily a big cup though (I see brastop says "Big Bras at discount prices"

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 17:15

Under a D is easy if you are a 34+, but it's trickier for smaller as the cheaper places - supermarkets, high street like H&M etc don't tend to stock them. Debenhams often does and their sales are good as is figleaves who have a massive range

Bullets · 10/07/2013 18:27

Thanks for the recommendations! Am I right then - 32FF if 32 and 40?? I've been wearing 34D for the last decade!!!

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 18:27

yup, you are right :)

Bullets · 10/07/2013 18:37

Whoop! Thank you! I'm going to order some new bras tonight and will report back, excited Grin!!!

Dorange · 10/07/2013 18:46

statistically changed please help me.

I never have a bra fitted and always bought at primark cheap shops, but now I decided it is time.

Just measured myself and it is 30" under and 34" over (does it sound right? I hope I didn't do it wrong)

I am going bra shopping on Sunday, where should I go, what brands to look for? I don't want/like anything sexy or faff, just a plain ordinary thing.

How much roughly should I be expected to pay?

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/07/2013 19:07

Dorange, start by trying a 30D. Maybe take a trip to a big department store where you can try lots of different brands - somewhere like debenhams or john lewis often have a good selection although the fitting service is hit and miss

mamapetal · 10/07/2013 19:59

I'm 27" & 32", can anyone suggest a size?

sparkle12mar08 · 10/07/2013 20:19

Try 26DD & E and 28D & DD, Mamapetal. If you don't have much padding on your torso you may find the 28 more comfortable, but most people in between sizes are better off sizing down.

jumperooo · 15/07/2013 08:25

Hi can anyone help me with sizes?? I've just (I think!) measured 33" & 41"

SorrelForbes · 15/07/2013 08:44

jumperooo Try a 32G/FF and a 34FF/F. I suspect the 32s will be a better fit.

jumperooo · 15/07/2013 08:59

Ok thanks!

Maryann1975 · 15/07/2013 09:00

So what would 31 and 37 make me? Since having babies I have no idea what size I should be in. Thank you x
