Ok so last year I thought 'this is it' and threw away the fugly fitflops I'd been living in for the past 2 years - before that I had different ones for a couple of years. I hate the look of them and mumsiness but they're oh so comfortable.

But now I've found myself considering getting some more Shock please help me find some comfy but trendy sandals - I walk around a lot have fat wide feet and cankles Smile
Ordinary flip flops are not great for lots of walking I find, need a little bit of a heel but not too much

What a ridiculous link. Sorry Blush

sarahseashell · 02/06/2013 19:37

Grin it worked - thanks earlyinthemorning can see where you're coming from as they are an improvement on fitflops... but not entirely convinced although I do like flylondon Smile

These might be a bit too surfy but mine are soooo comfy

littlediamond33 · 03/06/2013 19:19

i would stick to the fitflops, maybe try one of the 'jazzy' coloured ones?

Tortoise · 03/06/2013 19:21

I love my fitflops. So comfy and easy to wear.

Tortoise · 03/06/2013 19:35

Actually, just realised mine are Skechers.

DTisMYdoctor · 03/06/2013 19:40

Marks place in case someone posts some nice but comfy sandals. I tried some merrell sandals the other day, but too narrow for my feet - the shop assistant did reassure me that they'd had a lot of complaints about a narrow fit this year!

I'm desperate to have something comfortable to wear when traipsing about on my hols!

happyreindeer · 03/06/2013 19:45

I bought Sketchers go walk today in navy. My God they look frumpy but they feel like slippers. I want to walk for miles but my toes always get skinned so I am hoping these work.

thanks everyone Smile I'm quite Angry now with myself that I through the fitflops away (in protest against the eternal winter Grin)

Still undecided - a bit of a heel is more flattering on the cankles but not sure I can bring myself to get any more fitflops. Like the clarks ones but not sure the straps will suit fat feet

You did the right thing OP - fit flops are dire. (Sorry fit flop fans)

I walk loads and wear mid height wedges most of the summer, with Birkenstocks on standby for when I really really need flat shoes.

EarlyInTheMorning · 04/06/2013 06:58

I'm also desperate for a really comfortable sandal that has a bit of a heel. I also have very wide feet plus I'm short, so I look rubbish with flat shoes. I don't even think that fitflops are ugly, just too low for me.

GeetTallBird · 04/06/2013 07:23

Cushe flip flops? They have good reviews, look a bit odd though!

Love those Clarks ones, my fashionable sister gets a lot of shoes there actually.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 04/06/2013 09:21

I like fitflops . In fact i was going to order some today as I have been living in their converse type all winter. I have wide feet with high instep and funny heels, finding shoes that fit is difficult enough without having to buy pretty ones as well!

GobblersKnob · 04/06/2013 17:01

If you look on amazon, Reef, Animal and Rocket Dog all make extremely comfortable un-naff flip flops that you can walk for miles in like these or these.

Accentuatethepositive · 04/06/2013 17:44

I bought these m.schuh.co.uk/product.aspx?icode=1758316120 thinking I'd found a good compromise between comfy and ok looking. They seemed comfortable but sadly too wide and deep for my bony feet. Might be good on a normal person though?
