What do you think to this hat / fascinator thingy?

I'm trying to put together accessories for SILs wedding later this year. I'm already stressing - my DDs are bridesmaids and I'm doing a reading so will be on display.

I've got this Phase Eight dress which I'm already doubting as its hard to match colour-wise. I'd prefer to go for soft grey accessories & shoes. Pink seems too obvious.

I've seen this rose fascinator which can be made in grey. Opinions and alternatives would be gratefully received!

Apologies for a millionth thread on the same bloody outfit. Nightmare Grin

Yes, darker grey would be ok. I've got a pink cropped jacket but I don't like it much so I'm not sure if I will wear it.

TSSDNCOP SIL told me that she wanted me in matching colours to the bridal party just not important enough to be bridesmaid like her new perfect sisters

There are size 5s on eBay, but they are out of stock everywhere I've checked.

What colour pink is in the bridal party? It might be tricky to match in. So e times its better to compliment.

Looking back over messages, she wants me and MIL in similar colours to flowers. DH is an usher, our DDs are bridesmaids. They are in plain ivory or cream.

Ok, no way would I try to match your dress to that colour, too purple for the vintage pink in your dress.

You match the flowers perfectly. So job don't there. What colour is your jacket?

The jacket I have is this but it feels a bit old-womany. It's only through sharing my likes on here for DDs christening that I found I dress too old. I'm 34 btw.

I like the idea of something longer like this

The thing I loved about phase eight (the shop not online) was that they had everything grouped near each other so you could see instantly what went well with each dress. From shoes hats fascinators to pashminas jackets or jewellery. I hate shopping and love that I can go to one shop and do the lot in one go.

The pink jacket would be ok as it would just be a cover up while ,outside?

The problem with long line coats is they have to match the cut of the dress. So that jacket would be a no no for your dress.

I will google for under brim flowers!

I thought the same WhyMe but the shoes they've put with the dress are some weird beige chunky looking things.

The hat upthread is perfect, I'm going to hot foot it into a Phase Eight to see if they've got one as its unavailable online.

I have seen one of those at a wedding. The girl was already 5'10, add heels and that hat she was having to duck under the doors.

Sorry that phase eight one is out of stock. I've checked Debenhams but they don't stock it.

Not until NYE but I thought the stocks for wedding-y stuff would be gone by then, especially if I have to go for pinks.

You'll be fine! The hard bit is the dress! And the likes of phase eight coast etc do wedding stuff all year round now.

The dress was purely chance - I found it in an outlet, and my DD nagged me to try it on as it has the same name as her. It was an absolute bargain at £70 ish!

We were at the one near Glastonbury :)

I live near Brighton, there's no outlet nearby
