Woo hoo! Over here.........

OP posts:

Googled the dress too novice and it is lovely. Looks plenty smart enough. Intrigued by politician too!

My one small gripe with blogs (not just fashion ones) is that I'd like it to be clear when they feature items that they've been given or given a heavy discount on. WIT, for example, must get given loads because of her job and, while you either like something or you don't, it does make me look at things with a slightly different view.

BrandyAlexander · 16/05/2013 08:48

Thanks ShopSmileJust pm'd you who I am meeting!

Oh meant to say clutching my salmon pink Chloe Marcie bag.

McNally · 16/05/2013 08:50

I'm not on FB either (phone tried to correct that to "FBI" - hope I'm not on there either Grin ). Only Pinterest and here really.

Hopefully · 16/05/2013 08:55

Sounds like a good outfit Novice, I'm sure it will be fine.

I love that even WIT hasn't been able to avoid the parka/skinnies/shorter hair thing. Not in a nasty I-want-her-to-find-it-hard way, but I kind of feel that if someone as style conscious as her has to make concessions, it's ok for the rest of us too! Nice that she is showing you can do those 'sensible' clothes and still look good though - I think she still looks really stylish.

Ordered some clothes last night (finally!). A slouchy Maxmara sweater, a cheapie waterfall cardigan (I regularly wear and love waterfall cardigans, belted in, and stick my tongue out to anyone who tells me otherwise Grin), a Vince t-shirt a Vince tank and the splendid tube skirt that someone linked when Shop was looking the other day. I suspect the skirt will be too thin, but I figured worth a shot, since I live in my three tube skirts (one Whistles, one Zara via ebay, one cheapy Vero Moda). I think I'm going to order a new bra too, since I have precisely one that fits perfectly, and two others that just about pass muster, one of which has an actual hole in.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 08:57

Shop if I hadn't missed the boat I might be the same.

I do have lots of work online and that's what you see. But it's easier for it not to include my actual photo.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 09:17

Great shopping Hopefully! Love that Vince t , the colour is great!, and Maxmara.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 09:18

That's a great idea about splitting names Novice I have Marsha and normal and do try not to link them.

foxysocks · 16/05/2013 09:51

you sound perfectly attired, novice. hope it goes well!

I feel a bit mean now about my wendy-bash. I just find ANY super posed and contrived pics and blog posts really irritating. and I agree re: all the paid features, there are a couple who are TERRIBLE for this and it really let's them down imo.

hopefully great buys, please tell me you will wear the skirt like the shopbop model?! Wink. and i love your blog too, btw.

have just sprung £200 on a week long yoga intensive need to work out exactly which pot of money that is coming from before I buy anything else.

foxysocks · 16/05/2013 09:55

my internet security is terrible, I am so easy to trace but I don't really care, I do very little of note to anyone outside my family/friends. DH way more interesting so I need to watch what I say there but don't tend to discuss him online anyway.

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 09:58

Some serious Wang on the Outnet. Have just ordered a couple of tops and the twisty skirt Marsha has which I love so much. They had loads of colours but I got boring black as I think it will be more versatile. Also got a bright purple muscle tee I have had my eye on for yonks and a twist front grey top as I don't have any 'going out' tops. Hopefully they will all be keepers!

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 10:01

In other news I order a pair of TS white Baxters from eBay which arrived yesterday. They are past season seconds of some kind (any see anything wrong with them) and are whiter than the current ones in store which works better for me. And at £20 I don't care if the kids foul them up!

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 10:06

Those Vince little boy tees are the best in the biz. I had a lovely olive one but when I got my colours done I gave it to Travel. Was sad to see it go because the shape was ossom. Must order some wintry ones!

shopafrolic · 16/05/2013 10:11

Hopefully glad you find some things at last. Love the Vince and the MaxMara. I fear tube skirts are an area I shouldn't venture into anymore!
Amber will take a look. Loving the one I'm wearing today - just great fabric. It's amazing how much a good quality basic top can really lift your outfit. I feel better than I have done in ages in my chinos!
Novice if the person you are meeting comments on your outfit do say! I can imagine them being rather smooth!

Oh by the way LeFreak I have gone for a forest green Jigsaw twist front tee with my skirt plus Jemima Vine snake print flats!

foxysocks · 16/05/2013 10:19

i am gutted, was just looking at that wang twisty skirt in the grey and the XS sold out. will the S be massive on me amber or is it worth a shot? otherwise I can check for returns in a few days i guess.

Hopefully · 16/05/2013 10:25

Foxy of course - do you mean you don't regularly wear bum-skimming boob tube mini dresses? Grin

I have also ordered a ruched Wang mini from the outnet (purple, which may be too dark for me, not sure), and will decide between splendid and wang when they have both arrived.

Amber I was the recipient of your old Vince t-shirt from Travel when she was analysed as a summer! Have ordered a smaller one as I like bigger and neater for different looks (I have a small in another colour which i have worn to death).

I have tons of work to do, but my office is such a mess I can't concentrate, so have given myself permission to tidy up for two hours instead of working. Is v therapeutic.

foxysocks · 16/05/2013 10:26

waaah now the S has gone too. nevermind, obv not meant to be.

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 10:33

I ordered an M in the skirt as I want a bit of length, so I hope they don't come up too big...

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 10:38

Oh fab thanks Amber. I got the twisted skirt in indigo and a white poplin shirt.

Very happy. Blinking phone wasn't working and raced home, computer wouldn't let me check out so did it over the phone. Had flashbacks to clearance sale .

Finally some new stuff I like!

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 10:38

I wanted the grey one too Foxy but buy the time I got home it was gone, grr.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 10:39

BY crikey obviously overwhelmed by actually making some purchases.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 10:41

Wang skirt.

white shirt.

I thought about getting this dress but didn't.

shopafrolic · 16/05/2013 10:42

Woo hoo Marsha - I was just thinking the other day that you hadn't bought for a while......

OP posts:
foxysocks · 16/05/2013 10:42

i can't see me wearing the indigo much marsha otherwise I'd buy it too. will wait to see if any XS/S get returned. wasn't sure I liked as much as the whistles quilted mini anyway, but would like to try it on to check.

lovely shirt btw.

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 10:44

I know Shop god there may have been actual running involved to get to a working Mac Grin.

Been ages! Feels good, home sweet home. Wink
