Woo hoo! Over here.........

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 15/05/2013 22:24

It was this dress, but (IMHO) it looked a bit classier on me than on the model due to me being shorter than her by about 4 inches, so the solid section ended maybe an inch above my knee. Still very risqué at the side of the top of the leg but I think I could get away with it in my fantasy world where I spend that much on a frock

libertychick · 15/05/2013 22:26

Fab dress Sleep. I imagine it would look better on someone shorter than the model.

MarshaBrady · 15/05/2013 22:30

Oh I adore that Sleep.

santamarianovella · 15/05/2013 22:36

very pretty sleep,i love SM dresses.

LeFreakCestChic · 15/05/2013 22:42

shop was it you who had the jersey blazers from whistles? Are they true to size?
And amber, when can we expect the palm print skirt blog? < drums fingers impatiently>. I'm wearing mine tomorrow with nude micronets, white shirt buttoned up and leopard heels. . Thought the black jersey whistles blazer would suit it too.
Totally Pig sick of this weather. Not going to bother with summer clothes I don't think.

libertychick · 15/05/2013 23:08

LeFreak I have the whistles Lena jersey blazer in grey and I have tried on the navy. I am 10/12 on top and went for the 10 which is a nice fit - room for a thin knit under - so I would say size down.

McNally · 15/05/2013 23:30

Like that jacket Dry. Think it is navy? Maxmara one is lovely. I like this cornflower blue Reiss one though fear the colour may make it look cheap IRL and would be less versatile than a darker colour.

Love WIT blog. Admire Wendy for looking so flippin groomed at all times. A full time job, surely?

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 06:44

Don't think I've ever worn a matching underwear set in my life - I'm sure you're all shocked given the importance I place on matching the rest of my ensemble :)

Palm print skirt is debuting today LeFreak. Am struggling to find time to blog as work is insane at the moment. Hopefully I will have some time tonight!

Drywhiteplease · 16/05/2013 06:55

McNally wouldn't want navy, thought it was black and the Mxm is only in a 14......oh well will have to keep my no existent cash for another day Grin

shopafrolic · 16/05/2013 07:18

Morning all.
LeFreak my Whistles jacket was last season although it's pinned on my SS board (it's cream - can't link at the moment). I'm usually a 12 to 14 in a jacket and I got a 12.
Sleep the thought of wearing a thong since childbirth actually terrifies me!

Grin at all the underwear talk. Envy at novice's underwear. Since having dc the only bra that fits decently is my panache which only comes in black, white and nude. I do so wish it would come in more exciting colours. I did buy a greyish sliver set from m&s last year but tbh it's not the greatest fit. I have to match the colour of my bra to pants otherwise I don't feel right at all.

I checked WITs blog recently and she's still on mat leave but has added some new photos. Made me giggle as she's changed...jeans, parka and cut her hair shorter. She's realised that sometimes having a baby necessitates a practical wardrobe!

Decameron · 16/05/2013 07:42

Hi all.

Sleep, that dress is beautiful.

OneLittleLady, the purple hair sounds fab.

Agree that the Whistles blazer is generous. I should probably buy it again in navy as probably no need to buy more sandals! Actually do want pink gigis but I think the Matches presale starts soon.

I spent the morning in my DD1's class yesterday and wore pink DKNY ballets, her little friends kept stroking them, it was funny. Their favourite colour.

M&S/Calvin Klein for me for underwear (not much interest tbh, poor DH) and can manage pale coloured nail varnish as I have bad circulation so dark colours look awful but that's it. I'm on my second bottle of Dior Rosy Glow since spring. I am boring or is that classic?

So no selfies on Facebook, Marsha?! I'm not big into it, it is handy for keeping in touch and posting photos of the kids for rellies in the US and Australia.

Really hope it warms up, it's a very Irish summer so far!

Decameron · 16/05/2013 07:44

I saw that post, QueenC, she has become quite practical! I really only like WIT, DMBL40, AWO, Amber's and Hopefully's blogs. Wendy and the like annoy me.

AmberNectarine · 16/05/2013 07:52

What I like about WIT catch up post was her telling us hat we should all be wearing - stripey tops, converse, flat boots, parkas. Um, did no one tell her about the MN uniform? Even leggings got a mention!

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 08:04

Decam we do a good line in emails with photo attachments (how quaint!). It is fun to be so not online and go against flow. I've had places in the US and afar request photos so they can see what I look like. (To do with work).

Also means I have to see friends in person or by phone to catch up at all which I like. Many of them don't do fb, we're all underground. There's only a couple on this thread that don't do fb, we're few and far between.

Drywhiteplease · 16/05/2013 08:12

Hee hee! RL has arrived chez WIT. Love her.
Amber I admire anyone who does a blog and works too, it's v time consuming.... But much appreciated by the likes of me who use them to stop going to frumpsville!( really like the way you mix high st and high end).
Yes, Foxy some of the poses (particularly the US ones) are a bit annoying, but at least you can see the clothes and the pics are clear. I love DMBL40 but I wish her photos were clearer, don't like wierd filters( having said that the sun shines more in the US!)
Have ordered
this
And
pinterest.com/pin/443815738248938008/
To wear on Fri with black 7/8 or boyfriend type jeans. Love an animal heel for day. Hope they are ok.
Decameron as someone who works in a primary school I can well imagine them going mad about pink shoes. Why do you think I wear so much cheap tatt blingy necklaces, red shoes and anything sparkly also go down well....I take my compliments where I can get them!!!Grin

MarshaBrady · 16/05/2013 08:16

WIT always looks really happy and pretty on her blog. She's great. Like Amber's and Hopefully too of course. Don't mind Wendy, she's lovely looking but hardly bother to look anymore.

Sun is shining, yes! Better stay.

What's everyone up to and wearing today? Have free day

Decameron · 16/05/2013 08:19

I prefer email too, Marsha. The personal touch! I had to reactivate my FB account recently as friends were posting photos of the DDs (at parties or play dates) and I wanted to see them.

Lovely bag, Drywhite. My DD1 would love you as a teacher.

shopafrolic · 16/05/2013 08:27

I am so not up to date with bloggers. Who is WIT?
Wish I could say that I keep a low profile online but I don't. If I accept you as a friend on FB my whole life is there to see. I'm addicted. Also LinkedIn, but I only use Twitter to nose at slebs.
Am wearing one of the Wang tops today - lovely and drapey, really recommend.

Morning all! Am meeting one of the most senior politicians in the UK this morning and am on train wondering whether my outfit is wrongBlush. I am wearing lk Bennett ariella dress in olive green (its a bodycon dress with ruching across the front) with lk Bennett black court shoes, and black M&S mac. Jewelry is boodles raindance, tennis bracelet, Tiffanys diamond cross and studs. Suddenly thinking crap should I have worn a suit?!

shopafrolic · 16/05/2013 08:40

Sounds fab Novice - I just googled a pic of the dress, very elegant. But now I'm dying to know who the politician is?

BrandyAlexander · 16/05/2013 08:43

No chance of me being underground am afraid as part of my job is to have a public profile in my industry. If you google me you get photos, newspaper quotes, things I have published etc. I manage it by splitting my online personalities. My twitter and linked in are one name and fb in another plus mn a third!
