Woo hoo! Over here.........

shop I like everything but the colour. I look half dead in brown so that could be why

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 16:50

That's my issue One. My old jacket was black - but I'm an Autumn, so technically should get brown this time. There's a store in Kensington so I might take a look on Saturday.

OneLittleLady · 14/05/2013 17:08

It might look nicer in RL than it does on the website.....

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 17:12

I've just seen more pictures of my new nephews! What a difference a week makes. They've grown so much and although they're still being fed through a tube they're doing really well! :)

Thanks hopefully. It is leather but maybe you're right. I think also it's maybe not pure white. i really love the pink one except it's too wide so I think both may be going back.

How hard can it be to find coloured belts?

Hopefully · 14/05/2013 17:37

Shop if I were being pernickety I would say that is a v bright tan more suited to springs, which might be why you don't love it?

Hopefully · 14/05/2013 17:38

But if you love it it could definitely be pulled into autumn palette by rest of outfit.

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 17:44

So I need a dark brown Hopefully? Please be pernickety - it's a lot of money to get wrong.......

OP posts:
Hopefully · 14/05/2013 17:49

I think in an ideal world you could go for a fractionally softer tan, or dark brown.

foxysocks · 14/05/2013 18:05

queenc i didn't look tbh, might be worth calling them to check before you make the trip? i did glance at a few bags but imo the prices are completely ridiculous. even with the discounts they are £600+. I paid just over £400 for my mulberry in 2005, that was in their store in edinburgh so current stock (admittedly with the staff discount of my friend, but still).

QueenCadbury · 14/05/2013 18:32

foxy I don't want to call them because I don't want to know really!! If they have got them I'd really want one but I'm not sure I really want to spend that much (or rather get dh to spend that much and then have nothing else for my 40th).

LinusDKD · 14/05/2013 19:21

paris I hope your dogs operation went well.

grumpy those Prada sunglasses are gorgeous!

shop I am not really into leather jackets but I love that Massimo Dutti one.

Bum 40 lady mentions on her blog that Coggles has Gigi's (and other items) at 25% off. Maybe worth checking out.

Another one who hates having her picture taken, I am just not photogenic at all!

Oh and re looking like your parents: my mum was and is a beautiful woman and when people told me that when I was younger they usually followed that comment with 'and you look like your father, don't you'. Hmm

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 20:47

DH's travel card AND a lift to the station? Don't mind if I do! Grin

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 14/05/2013 21:27

Yes! Shop Grin. Well played.

Paris I hope your lovely dog is ok.

MarshaBrady · 14/05/2013 21:37

Ah Linus bet you're gorgeous. Those kind of comments stick don't they? Which parent you look like, what people say offhand. I remember a few of those.

Drywhiteplease · 14/05/2013 21:45

shop have you seen styleguile today? Some lovely leather jackets, maybe not what you're looking for. Good one for travel card etc! Grin
foxy that purse is gorgeous
Once I was shopping with my mother, I caught her reflection in a shop window and was Shock to realise it was me!

AmberNectarine · 14/05/2013 21:48

I'm a dead ringer for my Dad, and people are often taken aback at how like me my DS is - he's like a little boy mini-me. DD looks very like her daddy. Genes are funny old things!

santamarianovella · 14/05/2013 21:49

linus,I was told that girls often inherit their dads looks, that's the case with dd,she is the spitting image of her father, even her stare,I swear its like DH is staring back at me.

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 21:58

Thanks for the blog link Dry she's right about how thought it is to replace something that was so well loved! I'm going it take my jacket to the repairers to see if anything can be done, if not I'll have a look in town on Saturday.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 21:59

As Linus mentioned, it's 25% off at Coggles at the moment. Code is MID25.

God I love these
Friday night out for drinks, possibility it could end up in a club Shock... Haven't been to a club for years! Shit, now I have a sartorial nightmare!
Help. For drinks was planning killer heels, black skinnies, coloured top, fitted blazer, Chanel style cross body bag, chandelier earrings. Fancy a bright orangey red nail varnish. Will this do?

Drywhiteplease · 14/05/2013 22:16

this perhaps?
Am wearing monochrome on Saturday so it will do for that too.
Have I lost e plot?Confused

shopafrolic · 14/05/2013 22:20

Love the nail varnish Dry
Depends which club and how much you intend to dance, how killer are your heels? you could be on your feet till 3am Envy

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 14/05/2013 22:23

Also love the nail varnish dry if your heels are really killer, get some party feet inserts for your shoes

Drywhiteplease · 14/05/2013 22:29

Tbh I'm hoping to pass on the clubbing, not a city club but where I live people do dress up a lot and it can be quite sophisticated stuff at that .
3am shop Shock that is not going to happen,! and I'm out Saturday too so won't last the course if I do!
