have just realised that was a BIG FAT LIE

on way to dorset we stopped at the mulberry outlet at shepton mallet - DD needed the loo! good timing or what, that's my girl - and DH bought me a FAB purse. one of the hot pink ones from last season, super soft leather, postman lock. have been looking for a purse for literally years but wasn't sure exactly what I wanted until i saw it. it's The One. am in love. am stroking it often, and not letting anyone else anywhere near it .

OneLittleLady · 13/05/2013 17:35

welcome back foxy Smile

shopafrolic · 13/05/2013 17:36

Well done! Beautiful store isn't it? I loved the building (and the gorgeousness within!)

It is a gorgeous building, isn't it?

AmberNectarine · 13/05/2013 17:50

DH's brother used to live just outside Shepton Mallett so we had many visits to that lovely store. Bastard has gone and moved to Chippenham now - nearest retail park had highlights of New Look and Shoe Zone.

Sleepwhenidie · 13/05/2013 18:12

Has DB noticed so you don't visit quite as often as you used to Amber? [Grin]Bloody inconsiderate of him!

AmberNectarine · 13/05/2013 18:18

Yeah. He moved to Bath in between which was pretty good, the shops are great, but now he can expect to be blacklisted. And MIL is moving from Tunbridge Wells to Swindon. Sigh.

MarshaBrady · 13/05/2013 18:25

lol. None of my (otherwise lovely) relatives are any good for shopping either. Great for beaches however!

MarshaBrady · 13/05/2013 18:37

And welcome back Foxy! Grin

Excellent work on the wallet!

Drywhiteplease · 13/05/2013 18:38

Agree mine are badly placed too......I'm desperate to go to Bicester Village, no one near.......still, do have all my family near London so shouldn't complain.

Shop I swear by Jessica " pure brilliance top coat" apply a thick coat for really shiny nails and it dries quickly, I'm a bugger for blobbing half dry nails!

My DH gets his suits made too....so lovely. He has no idea about casual clothes so I have to control that. But suits he does really well, and Churches.....love a man in good shoes! DJs, military uniforms, jodhpurs (Grumpy!!!), muddy rugby kit.............ooooh sorry I've gone all wistful Grin

shopafrolic · 13/05/2013 18:42

Thanks for the tip Dry - my DH clueless about clothes too. Tweeds for shooting, suits for work, pretty much anything he slings on the rest of the time. Down to me to shop for him, he's very classic. He had Churches on our wedding day...... wistful too :)

I'm visiting a relative towards Shepton mallet tomorrow, but unfortunately in the evening so no shopping opportunities! Saving pennies for (touch wood) shoes in the sale, anyway.

LinusDKD · 13/05/2013 18:55

DH always wears Church's to the office as he has 'delicate' feet so nothing else will do. Hmm

He does look good in a suit though and when we met I 'convinced' him his casual clothes needed updating. Grin

BrandyAlexander · 13/05/2013 18:56

Hi all! Busy weekend and busy day! Thank you for the suggestion of taking dc2 on a day out for his birthday. He absolutely loved the farm. Still had to get him a present from his sister which he loved but we didn't go overboard with the tatGrin.

liberty I wore helmut Lang cowl neck top, banana republic skinny cords and aquatalia boots. Jewelry, hmmm annoyed with myself. I wore my boodles raindance ring and mil noticed. As she also gave me a ring at same time I hope she doesn't think I don't like hers. she looked lovely. she wore a leopard top, trousers and prob over £100k worth of diamonds- she likes her sparkliesGrin

Annianni · 13/05/2013 18:58

Well done on the purse Foxy

Shop I saw a lovely Whistles maxi dress today in JL, it was in khaki or a fab orange.

I know you wanted a skirt, but it was very nice...

Hopefully · 13/05/2013 19:00

Grin At delicate Churches-clad feet.

AmberNectarine · 13/05/2013 19:04

I am trendifying my DH slowly but surely. He wears Grensons to the office and New Balance/Ontisuka Tigers at the weekends. He is quite preppy so I'm playing on that style wise. Have just got him into slim leg Diesels which is a fantastic departure from the flappy Next horrors he has historically chosen for himself. When I took him in he was wearing Burton Hmm

DH takes me to Bicester once a year. That is one of my favourite days, along with the start of the Selfridges sales.

BrandyAlexander · 13/05/2013 19:05

You made me snort out loud amberGrin

AmberNectarine · 13/05/2013 19:06

Took him on, not in. He wasn't homeless (well actually he sort of was but the less said about that the better...)

Am annoyed as I optimistically tried ordering a DD cup bra from Figleaves as I was hoping my boobs might have shrunk after cutting back on DD's feeds. Obviously it is too small and is going back. I really do need a black bra!

Annianni · 13/05/2013 19:09

When I met dh 4 & 1/2 years ago, he was head to toe in Matalan and George.

We were discussing at the weekend how I've managed to bin and replace all of his previous clothes :o

santamarianovella · 13/05/2013 19:11

welcome back foxy, and well done,i always wanted to go to the mulberry outlet,i just need a buddy!DH is never a good shopping companion. did you find any scarves or shoes there?or is it just bags and purses?
linus DH,dresses nicely, but he is a terrible shopper,he sometimes buy multiple items of the exact thing
dry i love muddy rugby kits too, when i was at university, we would never miss a game, and up to this day i have no idea of the rules,we just went there to admire the view!

MarshaBrady · 13/05/2013 19:11

Love these confessions Grin.

Dh has the worst Paul Smith suit. It's too big, black and awful. Fit is bad. It's banned.

LinusDKD · 13/05/2013 19:11

DH still had loads of his old Uni 'going out' shirts when we met even though his student days were long past.

MarshaBrady · 13/05/2013 19:12

And I imagine PS is ok in the scheme of things, not the best not the worst. But it looks he looks like he's going to work in Macca Ds trousers.
