santa google maps says Serravalle is 45 mins further away than Foxtown. Not that I am going to either of those places anytime soon.

DH and I are going to NY end of July. Does anyone know of any outlets there? [cheapo]

LeFreakCestChic · 12/05/2013 22:07

amber I bought the palm print skirt this afternoon. It's flattering but I must stay well away from naked flames...!
It's for work but what were you planning to style it with? Is black just too predictable ( as well as not being very summery)? I also ordered nude micronets, as rec'd on another thread, but am a bit Hmm about them re colour and texture. We'll see...

McNally · 12/05/2013 22:08

Sorry you froze this weekend Dry. I think I told you you'd be ok in ballet shoes. Very sorry...

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 22:08

God, I used to live in nude micronets. Where did you find them LeFreak?

OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 22:11

Is it just me or does anyone else find that any kind of micro/fish net tights come up absolutely massive? I bought a pair of nude fishnets in my normal size and I can pull the waistband right up to my neck! I don't have the same issue with opaque tights though Hmm

AmberNectarine · 12/05/2013 22:12

I was thinking white shirt, monochrome stripey tee or maybe play
up the botanical vibe by pairing it with magenta or fuschia. Definitely nude legs though, I think opaques would be too heavy.

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 22:13

McNally not at all your fault.....I am just a wimp, I still haven't dared to she'd my Uniclo heat tech vest this year!!!Grin

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 22:14

Uniqlo...sorry

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 22:14

One I have an alarming mental image of neck-high fishnets. Kind of a really unfortunate body stocking...

OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 22:16

It is alarming to be fair, I reckon, if I wiggled right, I could get them over my head. I'd just love to see that look make it into high fashion

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 22:18

This thread is just brilliant tonight!

AmberNectarine · 12/05/2013 22:21

OneLittleLady I have always found this with fishnets. In my misspent youth I had a neon pink pair - I cut off the feet and the crotch out and wore them as a top over a black bra. Nice blog post in there somewhere....

LeFreakCestChic · 12/05/2013 22:21

Hopefully, Found them on mytights, not very cheap either so they'd better work out, particularly as I Spotted a huge hideous varicose vein on my right knee Shock in the Asda dressing room while trying the skirt on, just to add to the general depressing environment.
Also bought a spanx y slip thing from mytights which was v cheap, you can never have too much control underwear!

Yeah, a white shirt would work as would a coloured top. Not green though?!

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 22:22

Was worried what you were going to say when you got to cutting the crotch out Amber

MarshaBrady · 12/05/2013 22:23

Am sure Gareth Pugh has done something like that for you OneLittle Grin.

FrugalFashionista · 12/05/2013 22:27

OneLittleLady you are clearly doing from runway to reality - or something Grin

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 22:27

V lady Gaga

OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 22:28

Amber in my much more goth days, I too wore cut up fishnets as a top. I thought I was the coolest of the cool Grin

OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 22:28

I always KNEW I was a trendsetter! Grin

McNally · 12/05/2013 22:32

LeFreak or Amber, is that palm print skirt true to size? No local Asda so need to order online.

Grin at crotchless fishnets!

santamarianovella · 12/05/2013 22:36

linus, serravile is very close to the swiss border, so if you are in geneva its a 3 hour drive, and almost a 4 hour drive from lausanne.
if you got small dcs its not worth the drive IMHO.
i have no experience with NY,but have a friend who went to premium outlets in camarillo, and she mentioned that they have outlets in all major states,

santamarianovella · 12/05/2013 22:56

amber i just got a mental image of you in neon fishnets!,thats very innovative.

miley actually looks great in that dress, some people look really good in fishnets,i could never pull it off.

libertychick · 12/05/2013 23:11

I will never catch up!!!

Quick review for Decam and Anni the Me & Em dress arrived on Friday - very sad to say it's gone back already! Main problem is that it's too short - about inch or so above my knees and my hideous fat knees cannot be exposed!! Also the fit is weird - catches slightly across the hips which doesn't work as it's A-Line. I have requested to exchange for these trousers.

But good news in that I have been looking forever for a white sweater and got this beauty in Gap yesterday - love it.

Have not managed to look at all the links but loved Grumpy's multicoloured clutch and Santa's flats. Envy at Shop's Jimmy Jimmy's - I really want them.

Waves to everyone - love how chatty this thread is! Novice what did you wear to meet your MIL and SIL?

santamarianovella · 12/05/2013 23:41

its a shame about the dress liberty i like the cut and was thinking of ordering one, heard good reviews about it in here i think shop has one.the gap sweater is really nice, which color did you get?i like the mandarin one,i might have a look at it on thursday.

linus im really sorry if you found my posts not that clear or helpful ,but i got the impression that you live on the italian swiss boarder, and my only experience with outlets close to milan was foxtown.
