Would be really happy to host a swapmeet Shop but that would require airmiles.
Can supply the wine and a sunny roof terrace and some pretty serious shopping opportunities Grin

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 20:39

I'm in Frugal. Now DH is back working my little trip could well be back on!

Hi, I am impressed by your shopping achievements and also a bit Envym you lot know what you want!
I am determined to go to the MM shop and check out those sandals, and buy them Grin.

i have never been to fox town, I occasionally go to the outlet in Serravalle, where I never seem to find what I actually want. There's a Prada there, with good bags.

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 20:45

Shop I was eyeing the green ones too, but have accepted that both neckline and weird armhole shape is wrong for me, so am resisting.

AmberNectarine · 12/05/2013 20:58

I did shop but I was drunk at the time. I'm so glad you like them! They are awesome jeans. Mine need a wash really, but I'm scared to be separated from them.

Not a terribly exciting today, but I have just ordered the palm print George pencil skirt I have raved about on my blog.

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 21:03

Basically Amber I bought two tops, the jeans, got home and phoned the store to buy another top that I'd left behind. Mentioned you, fake claimed you as a friend but a least the owner knows £400 worth of sales that day came as a result of your blog! Fingers crossed you get something positive from it.
Might have to dress down on Saturday so I can wear the jeans.....

i heard good things about the one in serravalle,
foxtown is quite good, the last time i went there was in 2010,sadly i no longer visit milan, used to accompany my boss.
why dont you wait for the sales to buy the MM sandals ?,i found the sales there to be great, with huge reductions.

LinusDKD · 12/05/2013 21:09

Ooh Fox Town is not in Italy but in Switzerland! Still a 3 h drive though. Sad

I am sure DH wouldn't mind a 6 h round trip to a shopping centre and he certainly won't mind looking after the DC whilst I cram the car full of shopping bags. Hmm

OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 21:11

Thanks for the sympathies all you lovely ladies, it's a lot more than I get from most people who think I've just made up some bullshit medical condition to get attention Hmm

I've decided to save my pennies and treat myself to either an Alexander McQueen Skull Cuff or an Alexander McQueen Skull scarf. I will decide which it is to be when I've saved enough money.

AmberNectarine · 12/05/2013 21:13

They actually contacted me on Thursday about more work, hopefully they feel vindicated now! And you are my friend! I'll have to wear different jeans on Saturday so we're not twins!

QueenCadbury · 12/05/2013 21:17

one I'm Shock that people think you make it up. It all sounds very painful. My hip joints have been killing me for the past week and dh is wondering whether I have reactive arthritis following the d&v. At least that will go eventually so can't imagine living with a painful condition.

I've had a lovely day seeing family and i wore my new top. As predicted dh didn't even notice as it's navy!

We've decided to do a pink theme for my mums birthday in June. Aside from a pink cardigan I don't have anything else so there goes my spending ban Grin

AmberNectarine · 12/05/2013 21:21

I was like that in January after I had pneumonia QueenC, nasty bugs can really lay you low - hope you feel better soon

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 21:21

I think there might be some duplicate clothes going on! I'll have to figure out what I can wear that I didn't buy as a result of this thread! Was v impressed with the Dressing Room. I hadn't be in for about 5 years and was pleasantly surprised. The staff couldn't do enough to help and gave very honest feedback. I can't bear it when sales staff tell you that something looks great when you know it looks shite!

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 21:22

I think, QueenC, that people think it's made up because it's actually a relatively rare condition. It's difficult trying to explain it to people other than just saying 'it hurts. all the time' I spend an extraordinary amount of time at the hospital for an apparently made up condition, those silly doctors obviously don't know what they are talking about Grin

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 21:27

Poor you QueenC, hope you feel better soon. One how awful that people think you're making it up!

My mission to have a small wardrobe of gorgeous clothes is currently undergoing a head to head battle with my desire to have more choice of clothes! Can't quite decide whether to splash out on one or two wonderful things and limp on with not-quite-enough clothes or buy a handful of average quality clothes and have enough but not really love them. Hmm.

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 21:29

Limp on and love Hopefully

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 21:31

I have a fair amount of clothes hopefully but none of them are 'high end'. I simply can't afford to have a wardrobe full of stuff like that so I buy cheap to mid range clothes for everyday wear and spend a bit more on things like handbags, coats and shoes as those three things seem to really pull an outfit together. I get my real designer fix with perfume.

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 21:33

I am cracking up at 'limp on and love' shop!

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 21:39

It's taken all day (on and off) to catch up.
Loads of fab links. Impressive shopping linus and shop...love the Jimmyjimmy bf jeans ( how do they fit?described as skinny so does that mean they are not as baggy as a lot of bf jeans ) I wear that look a lot, but prefer a straight cut rolled up beacause I don't like too much bunching on my thunder thighs.
one have googled Your illness, sounds awful, really had never heard of it.QueenC hope you feel better soon.
Fab weekend in London. Looked chic but froze to death....had to sprint to Victoria st Boots to buy some knee highs ( glamorous) my feet were like blocks of ice!
Thought of novice in the Crown Jewels ...sudden desire for more diamonds, DH Shock!
Hopefully I'm trying, influenced by this thread, to grow up a bit and buy less items, like you, but quality rather than lots of cheap crap. Doing alright , but I can't resist a bargain and don't want to be too "shoppist"

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 21:40

And btw I have just listed the "red statement flower necklace" on ebay...get bidding ladies Grin

shopafrolic · 12/05/2013 21:45

Hopefully I'm going to make posters for the inside of all our wardrobe doors, a la 'keep calm and carry on' Grin
Dry I usually wear 7FAM straight leg rolled up, the Paige fit similarly on the thigh. I can't do super baggy and slouchy. The store recommended I wore them a size up so they slouch a little at the hips.

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 12/05/2013 21:45

let us know if the necklace sells dry Grin

santamarianovella · 12/05/2013 21:49

its in lugano linus an hour min drive from milan.
i could be wrong , but i think from where you live its closer to go to the one in serravalle.

Drywhiteplease · 12/05/2013 21:54

Omg....just checked Ebay and J Crew did the exact same necklace!!!Shock
Hopefully just seen your blog post...you're bonkers!funnyGrin

Hopefully · 12/05/2013 21:58

OMG I've just remembered why I took the mad bike picture on the blog. It was meant to be an action shot of the new shoes. Was intending to do full outfit post when I stopped.
