Paul Smith rose is pretty much just roses. Rock and Rose (forget which designer it is) is also a good one for strong rose smells.

Allthingspretty · 07/04/2013 18:53

Balenciaga habe something too i believe. There is always yardley

expatinscotland · 07/04/2013 18:54

IIRC Stella by Stella McCartney. Try before you buy, though! It smelled really nice on me but awful on the friend who was with me.

ScooseIsLooseOnTheLoopyJuice · 07/04/2013 18:55

Jo Malone red roses?

FriskyMare · 07/04/2013 18:56

L'Occitane Quatres Reines is a lovely soft rose smell.

VillaVillekulla · 07/04/2013 18:56

Serge Lutens 'Sa Majeste La Rose' but ££. The Paul Smith one is quite nice and much cheaper. And the Jo Malone one.

CanAnybodyMakeSenseofThis · 07/04/2013 18:57

I'll try those next time I'm in the shops. Realised I'd been wearing the same perfume for 12 years and I need a change.

I love Jo Malone's Red Roses.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 07/04/2013 18:59

Get some Geranium essential oil.
Delicious.

Meglet · 07/04/2013 19:01

I think the new Balenciaga (the one kirsten stewart advertises) has rose in. I remembering thinking how nice it was and being suprised it had rose in it as I don't usually like rose.

coffeeinbed · 07/04/2013 19:04

Stella is lovely.
It's ambery and wearable.
Paris is mostly roses, it's more garden-y than Stella.

SpringHare · 07/04/2013 19:07

I also love L'Occitane's Quatre Reines, I wear it every day. It's very light but I often get people asking me what it is.

DCIlouisemonroe · 07/04/2013 19:15

YSL Paris is very rosey.

Ren Rose cologne was GORGEOUS but I don't think you can get it anymore Sad

Wereonourway · 07/04/2013 19:46

I only ever wear Paul smith rose. An ex bought me some years back and I love it.
At least 2 or 3 people a week comment on it being lovely and it's cheap!
Disclaimer- my knowledge of perfumes is crap. I just know I've tried many kinds and this is my favourite by a country mile

cardamomginger · 07/04/2013 19:58

Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose is delicious. Le Labo Rose 31 is also lovely. Le Labo Baie Rose is an earthier and greener rose, but is only available in Chicago (so probably not much help). The Different Company Poivre Rose is similarly greenish and earthy, but only available mail order from France in the UK. Hermes Rose Ikebana is a nice sheer rose with a slight metallic undertone (very wearable and nicer than it sounds).

novelsituation · 07/04/2013 19:59

This is lovely.

Kneedeepindaisies · 07/04/2013 20:00

Another vote for Jo Malone Red Roses.

Allthingspretty · 07/04/2013 20:11

JumpHerWho · 07/04/2013 21:41

Paul Smith Rose is my scent. Much cheaper online - I paid £20 for 100ml eau de parfum recently, it's twice that for half as much in perfume shops.

KarenHL · 07/04/2013 21:43

Nicest one I found was by Penhaligons. Absolutely georgeous (and didn't break the bank).

PeppaFuckingPig · 07/04/2013 21:50

Another vote for Paul Smith Rose. I'm on my second bottle now. I'm not generally a fan of rose scents, but i love this one, and have received lots of compliments. And, as has been mentioned, it's cheap for a big bottle.

AphraBehn · 07/04/2013 21:51

I wear Paul Smith Rose or Stella Sheer. Try Rose The One by D&G. One of the Bvlgari Omnia perfumed has rose tones as well.
