A lie in, breakfast in bed and a poem that likened me to a chef, which had DH and I in well hidden stitches. My cooking is adequate.

Beautiful handmade cards with poems, Ds's poem likened me to a lovely soft pillow and Dd1's to a soft chinchilla. I may start a diet tomorrow. They are wonderful Grin.

Lots of loveliness - a tan leather bag (bought this myself and hubby refunded me), flowers, box of chocs and a slab of decorated chocolate from each girl that they chose themselves. Several cards, a bought one from each and the eldest made 3 homemade ones at school, rainbows etc. Now the down side - it's snowing, they woke me at 6:30 and hubby snored until 9:30 before getting me a cuppa. He's off to footy all day and big one has a party to go and I need to clean for MIL coming to so my Mother's Day will be short lived. I have EARNED these gifts Wink

Home-made cards from both DC (DS is 5, DD is 2) and they helped DH make breakfast. Also a particularly special drawing of me, DS (5), and a stoat doing some 'crazy mother's day moves'.

He's a bit of a one off my boy. Smile

Happy mothers day everyone Thanks

Ds who is 11 has been working his socks off for 2 months to earn money for an xbox memory thing, or so I thought, he has really been out washing neighbours cars, doing lots of extra jobs in the house and taking a neighbours dog for a walk to earn money to buy me the insanity fitness dvds, I sobbed when he told me he planned it all.

I got 4 homemade cards, chocolate, flowers and best of all lots of cuddles and kisses from ds and my 3 dds who thought putting bright red lipstick on before smothering me in kisses would be hilarious Grin

Congrats to all the first-time MD mums here! Got home made and shop card and home made chocolates from DD1 (4YO) and the appearance of a very obvious foot from DD2 - who is minus 8 weeks! I never saw anything like this when pg with DD1 so it was scary and lovely at the same time.

happy mothering sunday! (I wrote mithering the first time, perhaps more accurate?!)

i got two homemade cards - DD made hers at school along with two big tissue paper flowers, DS made his at nursery and it has a picture of a 'buff-fly' on it

AND as if that wasn't enough DH organised this beautiful scarf from them both too. www.donnaida.com/becksondergaard-x-sandy-scarf-steel.html

have just had family brunch and about to head out for a walk over the bridge, before rugby and toad in the hole (DH speciality!) later. might even have a sneaky vino

Thanks all round

Tea in bed - brought by DS1 with the mug inside a bowl to avoid spillage.
Cards I'd bought ages ago for emergencies - but with very cute messages in them.
Daffs
A candle
Some lovely bubble bath - the good stuff.
A lovely breakfast of croissants and berries.

Feeling all loved up.

DH has taken them off to rugby. I'm about to have a long bath in peace.
