What would you recommend from Primark?

I have been a few times just been overwhelmed by the crowds and general yeuch of the place.

Going shopping tomorrow with my niece who I know will want to visit Primark so is there anything worth buying ?

I've given up on their clothes as the quality really isn't great. Lots of them look a bit pants after a low temp wash.

But I could live in their fleecy PJ's .

I've got some basic short sleeved tops that have lasted really well.
Haven't bought anything else from there.

Long sleeved cotton Lycra t shirts for layering, they have some really nice ones at the moment, I have about 10.. Also their hoodies, lots of choice of colours. Most of their stuff is poor quality or badly made though.

The towels are good - better than some I bought in Debenhams. I also buy the mattress and pillow protectors.

Don't get the long sleeved t shirts, they don't last and are shiny. I got a pile, but only for bfing so wasn't looking for lifespan but have still be disappointed.

Long sleeved t shirts and the vest tops are horrid. Especially if you have a cake shelf like me... they seem to ride up all day until they end up round your arm pits. Even in a larger size.

I tend to have to buy everything in a size 16 or 18 in there and everywhere else I am a slightly loose 14.

I do like their hookless shower curtains (random I know) and I love their cheap cardigans which are usually thrown around in piles. They wash and wear really well and great colours.

Shoes aren't bad for quick fashion.. not particularly comfortable but if you want something pretty for a particular dress or whatever worth a look! :)

There printed tshirts aren't bad . DD has,tracky bottoms from there (the ones with turn ups), and they are really nice and wash well.
I second going for bigger sizes.

I live in the £9 skinnies, love em! Also the little seamless vests as an underlayer are good

I have bought school tights there (3 teenage girls), and suck-'em-in pants for me (much cheaper than M&S).

I have also bought £5 black work trousers.

Kids also like the onesies they sell there.

Accessories! Scarves, belts, jewellery (need to check as quality can be hit and miss), leather gloves. I got a handbag organiser insert thingy which is great for £3

Forgot to say shapewear and seam free undies too

Oh yes, definitely scarves.

People recommended the fleecy pyjamas for DD so I went in there.
Absoloutely shite.
They did everything except spontaneously combust.they made her skin go blotchy and they went a very funny shape in the wash.

I get jewellery and bits and pieces for costumes and things for DDs
school. Ds got a blue t-shirt and jeans that made a great smurf fancy dress.
thats it really.

Oh and hairbrushes. I bought a stack of hairbrushes. They were good

Same here in that I don't think much of the clothes (but my Tweens do) I LOVE their opaque tights with socks on the end - great with knee high boots. I'm going back to get some more.
Also bought a nordic print duvet as a christmas gimmic, well it's amazingly warm and soft, not giving that up till spring comes!

The boys trousers are very good. Nice thick cotton in good blues and greens. Also cords

I would recommend the Argon Oil for hair only £2.50 much cheaper than John Frieda Frizz Ease and even better results!

Btw the towels are recommended by Good Housekeeping ( not usually me scene!), and yes they are good.

Clothes doe ds have been good. Spider-Man t shirts and the like. I have bought some pjs for going into hospital with. I call them disposable ones. They have washed ok, yet to wear them though.

Socks are good, hair stuff - bun rolls, kirbys, velcro rollers and bobbles.

scarves, pjs, stretchy tees to go under stuff

I don't rate their kids stuff

Shoes fall apart v quickly in my experience
Sizes are weird - also check the label size rather than the hanger size as they're almost always different

They had some amazing sheer, dip-hem, racer back vests just before Christmas.
They are fab for layering and wash really well. I keep checking to see if they've brought them back.
