My addiction is coats and jackets. I just can't get enough of them. I just don't need any more but I do covet a leather biker jacket as I sold my old one on ebay. I would also like a puffa jacket but don't need one; not that cold anyway. Am I wierd?

Shoes are also fab but I think coats win. It used to be handbags.

I am covetous of skirts, but mostly because I can rarely find any decent ones and they suit me more than dresses or pants. It's more like an OCD than an addiction though: I'm constantly checking to see if there are any decent ones anywhere, and currently there are none. No passion seems to go into the design of skirts anymore. I guess they're just not happening right now.

That said, I am seriously fond of knitwear. Insatiable.Grin

Mine is shoes I don't need. I buy loads trying to find a heel I like usually they hurt and the I never wear them again.
My mum has so many coats she has a rail in her loft full that she swaps with the season and another of old ones she won't part with.

Pullovers and cardis. I used to be poor - no money for new clothes - and live in a really cold apartment. The situation is now different but the result is that I've gotten obsessed with buying warm pullovers! Darn sales - I must resist buying more pullovers!

Shoes and blazers.

I love a nice blazer me!

You can guess mine from my username!

Cardigans. Love 'em, always have. In my youth I was known to pile on 3 instead of a coat. Now you'll be pleased to hear that I stick to 1.

I'm another coat and jacket woman. The right coat can hide a multitude of sins....

Binfullofresolutionsfor10thjan · 10/01/2013 06:38

A scarf for me too. It's an easy purchase that rarely goes out of fashion and can be a cheap way to cheer me up, or update an outfit. I have three plastic storage containers full of them, and when my team bought me one for Christmas, I knew that I had finally become "the lady with the scarf"

I even made my dh listen to a rundown of my favorite 10 scarfs, at breakfast in a Hotel 3 weeks ago. Blush

Bless him, he did try and look interested....

Love a good sweater. Would have loads of knitwear if I could.

Always enjoy new skinnies.

Actually anything new, need new ballet flats when weather improves. Tend to stick to tried and trusted labels.

Binfullofresolutionsfor10thjan · 10/01/2013 06:40

Oops scarves scarfs

AmberNectarine · 10/01/2013 06:52

To be honest I don't discriminate. I have lots of everything, except socks. I am always scrabbling around for socks and wearing DH's. Oh and bras. I have 3 (but this is due to bf and changing bra size).

I go through phases of buying lots of one particular item. This winter I decided I didn't have enough jumpers, so I have now bought 6 new ones. I am now moving on to flat shoes and am coveting many pairs.

Boots, handbags, jewellery, scarves. And lately cashmere jumpers, hats and gloves - I'm cold!
Can't resist any of them. But mainly I'm known as the bag lady.

Sleepwhenidie · 10/01/2013 07:58

Knitwear, especially cashmere, can't have enough! Should work harder with lingerie, that's definitely an area that is lacking since having dc's, my bra size never seems constant though and i really resent paying lots for things that don't quite fit properly.

IDismyname · 10/01/2013 07:59

I'm a scarf addict, too. Have been for years. Lots I don't wear any more, but I consider them part of my 'history'.

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2013 08:03

I'm scrappy with lingerie too. Rigby & Peller costs a bomb then the hand washing is a drag, I have a few but could do with more. Bodas is ok to wash.

Socks, cheap cotton ones.

Binfullofresolutionsfor10thjan · 10/01/2013 08:21

I have a lot of Rigby & Peller underwear and I never hand wash.

Especially after a garment technologist told me it's basically a get out clause for returning things that you could damage in a machine wash.

Put it all in a pillow case on a delicate cycle, or better still, one of those Muji bra wash bags. Works a treat. Better to wear them than have them sat in the bottom of the laundry basket for weeks on end. (I hate hand washing - nothing ever feels clean)

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2013 08:24

Good idea, I don't have many but they should be used rather than lingering waiting to be washed.

Will definitely do that bag thing.

JanuaryJunes · 10/01/2013 09:04

Black leggings. I have a million pairs of black leggings....

Eliza22 · 10/01/2013 09:12

White shirts.

EbbNFlow · 10/01/2013 13:36

threesypeesy · 10/01/2013 13:41

shoes and handbags i adore them, i cant stop buying them, the trick is to buy well and classic then they can be passed onto dds as vintage, well the good stuff can

Hopefully · 10/01/2013 13:49
