Resolutions for next year, wardrobe wise?

I am not keeping things "for best" and will rid my wardrobe of Next jeans which stretch beyond recognition by mid morning.

I will buy less, but buy things which go with current items, as opposed to random purchases which never get worn.

There will be nothing in my wardrobe which does not make me look and feel good. Begone, shapeless cardis and arse enlarging tops.

I'm going to stop buying shitty cheap tops because a lot of the lovely things I have no longer fit me,sort out my weight and start wearing aforementioned lovely things. I am also going to have a serious wardrobe clear out I'm January.

Don't go clothes shopping with anyone whose dress style you do not like for yourself.

  1. I am not going to allow my total wardrobe to expand further, it must all fit in one double wardrobe, 2 big shelves and 5 drawers, with out of season stuff in 2 plastic boxes.
  2. One in, one4 out, with gradual culling of the rest to bring it down to size.
  3. Buy nothing on whim, especialy ebay.
  4. Do not buy shoes that you know will never be truly comfortable.
  5. Do not let 4 lead me down the slippery slope to granny shoes.

Use my new handbag every day in a bid to justify the cost to a skeptical DH.

One in one out is a good policy, will use that.

I'm with many of you , I have resolved only to buy things I love. I find that I buy very similar things again and again, because I get bored or sad and fancy a bit of excitement!

PretzelTime · 26/12/2012 20:22

To not buy anything new unless I need it. I need to save money but it's going to be pretty easy since I'm really fed up with clothes shopping (!)

Wheresmypopcorn · 27/12/2012 19:12

to actually wear all the nice things I have. Instead of just the few most comfortable things.

SantasNaughtySack · 27/12/2012 19:25

Also, I've started writing a list of rough things I'm missing from my wardrobe. I now don't buy anything if it's not on my list, which has completely cut out impulse buys that I never wear as I have nothing to go with it.
I've had my most successful sale shopping day today for years! Grin

iMe Can I ask why? I do all of my clothes shopping with my sister, who is my opposite in style, and wondered if I shouldn't be doing that?
