Now I am currently fat as butter so planning on:

  • black j brand majors
  • black lurex jumper from wallis
  • leopard print heels

So what will you all be wearing?

a rasberry + slate animal print temperley dress from JL and ridiculous grey fuckmepumps from KG. Either a forced smile or a grimace.

I like to have everyone wear something new - it makes the day feel like more of an occasion. I got DD a dress in Next which isn't on the website - it's a casual one but v cute. She'll wear it with festive red tights! Have bought DH this shirt - he didn't even wear a tie to our wedding so no chance he'll do that for Christmas day.

It's just the three of us - if I had guests I would probably wear a dress. I love that Whistles one - I got a lovely black lace dress in phase 8 about 18 months ago which I have only worn once - the Whistles dress has made me think I should bring it to the dressmakers and get the sleeves shortened and get it taken up as it would make it more wearable.

me too, liberty!

Have you decided which dress to wear yet santasWearing... I like that ASOS one but agree it might be a bit hot especially if you are cooking.

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 22:30

I think I'm going for the black and white with ballet flats. I love the asos one (I picked it and told dh the size etc, I looks great with opaque tights and biker boots) but I'll boil in it.

libertychick · 19/12/2012 22:48

Sounds like a plan - the black and white is lovely too.

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 22:51

Its v flattering and stretchy

I like dressing up a bit for xmas day, it makes it feel like its a bit more... Efforty.

Pollykitten · 19/12/2012 22:56

I've gone a bit mental a bought this www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Eliza+J+Portrait+collar+3/4+sleeve+maxi+dress/170428651,default,pd.html which I think may be a bit mental and OTT but who cares!!! Feedback?

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 23:02

Oooh, I love it! Its v gothic (in a good way) and would look fab with a chunky necklace and deep red nails.

Pollykitten · 19/12/2012 23:07

yay! Thanks Santas - don't know what came over me....

libertychick · 19/12/2012 23:08

That is totally fabulous Polykitten. Are you tall or do you need to get it altered? I am Envy and v v tempted by it.

Pollykitten · 19/12/2012 23:10

I'm 5 foot 8 so OK with smallish heels. Also, it gets me out of having to go on an enforced walk on xmas day! My five year old niece will love and I expect to get funny looks off my mum and sister! [evil cackle]

libertychick · 19/12/2012 23:20

I think you NEED to take that dress walking on xmas day! Put on some biker style boots and a jacket like this one and wow them all! Your niece will love you for it!

Pollykitten · 19/12/2012 23:21

I have my orders from you then liberty....consider it done!

libertychick · 19/12/2012 23:22
Grin
libertychick · 19/12/2012 23:23

Actually that should have been Xmas Grin

SantasWearingHisTrampyPants · 19/12/2012 23:33

Oh yes! Show your niece that eccentric glamour is hugely underrated.
