WideWebWitch · 03/04/2006 10:29

Week five \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2350&threadid=159192\here} We are now on Week SIX.

Rules are:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well, eat fruit and veg
Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen at ALL TIMES
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night
Use handcream and join the horned hoof club on their thread if you have vile feet

Suzywong is Harvey from Fit Club and will pop in every now and again to say Good Luck to You but in her absence: Good Luck To You.

And there's a new one starting next week so for anyone who wants to wait until then (that'll be me then since I have a busy social week) you're most welcome.

Ooooh Suzy! Bravo!
Tai Tai dd and I dance a lot to that one in the kitchen.I may add it to the iPod.

I was shamelessly enjoying 'Pour some sugar on me' Def Leppard while running SIX km this morning. Gah,so naff but I tell ya,soft rock is good to thrash it out to.
Slightly less shamefully 'Rock n Roll Disgrace' and 'Fox on the Run' The Sweet also did the trick.

winnie · 06/04/2006 16:08

size 10 ... I don't think i have EVER been a size 10 Grin

Well done SW :)

suzywong · 06/04/2006 16:15

Why thank you

suzywong · 06/04/2006 16:17

Snort@ Def Leppard

what about "Animal"

it won't belong before you've go Judas Priest and all. Motorhead would get your bpm up too

You seem like the kind of gal who should be listening to Pearl Jam and Audioslave

moonshine · 06/04/2006 16:38

Motorhead would induce a coronary, surely? I have some good old-school indie guitar sounds on my MP3 player - nowt like a bit of Ash to get you going.

Ok, have have a brief look at the diet and it looks very doable, although I suspect that all that lovely fresh fish over there helps sugar the dieting pill. I shall investigate further.

As for spelt crackers, I am going to sulk because nobody has answered me. I looked it up in my dictionary and it says, and I quote, "an inferior species of wheat". Well, I couldn't possibly eat inferior produce so it won't be on my shopping list Wink.

suzywong · 06/04/2006 16:48

have oatcakes instead MS, low GI

Ash.... always used to get them confused with Bush and Shed 7

moonshine · 06/04/2006 16:58

Bush Shock. I have some standards.

suzywong · 06/04/2006 17:06

my van morrison is you bush then MD

moondog · 06/04/2006 17:39

lol re Iron Maiden inducing a coronary.I think Motorhead would be better. Ace of Spades.
I have 'Animal' too. it gives me skinny jeans flashes of inspiration.
Bit iof Ash good too,deffo.

Moonshine,I never saw your spelt question. It is a very old grain apparently. The romans liked it.Less gluten than wheat which is a boon (great word that) for those who are concerned with such things.

TaiTai · 06/04/2006 17:47

Hmm, not sure about Def Leppard. I used to enjoy Eminem when jogging because of the beat, although didn't enjoy him so much when not jogging. I'm with moonshine on the indie guitar sounds, but I'm also having a bit of a nostalgic phase and listening to the anthems of my yoof (Tainted Love for one), although this is motivating because it reminds me of being a size 8 all them years ago... Suzy Wong, I'm very, very jealous about the size 10 trousers, and will grudgingly and bitterly wish you well done. Where do you live by the way, with such an exercise-friendly Council?

moondog · 06/04/2006 18:01

She's in OZ TT.
Need aggressive posturing music to exercise to.
TheJam proved inspirational today too.

TaiTai · 06/04/2006 18:06

Living in Oz AND wearing size 10 jeans? That's taking the piss.

motherinferior · 06/04/2006 18:08

I wear size 10 jeans but am very very very short indeed.

moondog · 06/04/2006 18:13

lol tt
And you talking about being round MI!
THat's obviously a big fat lie. Shock

motherinferior · 06/04/2006 18:14

Yes, but you have to factor in the shortness which introduces, shall we say, an element of proportional rotundity.

suzywong · 07/04/2006 04:48

I may be a size 10 jeans and live in Australia but I have no
H&M
River Island
Hobbes
jigsaw
French Connection
Monsoon
Next
Morgan
or Zara

much to my chagrin

and in the shopping Mall yesterday I saw a woman wearing bright blue leggings and black kitten heel mules with a closed toe and a white cardigan

suzywong · 07/04/2006 06:14

oh, and I live with my MIL

so it's not all slimness and sunshine

moondog · 07/04/2006 08:49

Hmmmm,fair points Suze.

Can I just say that although reasonably stable in physical matters,am a nervous wreck after 5 weeks alone with the children?
Dh returning tomorrow. Thank fuck

Have booked myself in for a St Tropez next week with a vacuous 'therapist' called Leeza.

WideWebWitch · 07/04/2006 09:13

Guys, I'm off so you'll have to carry on next week without me. Good Luck to You. :)

don't forget to trim your lady and all MD

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 13:39

Trim your lady

suzywong · 07/04/2006 13:40

yeah you know

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 13:43

I started a new \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=58907&topicid=2350&threadid=162408&redir=58907\thread} for the next 6 weeks. Come and help me be accountable. (Do we start Monday?)

suzywong · 07/04/2006 13:44

no way man, WWW didn't really mean it, she'll be LIVID

yoyo · 07/04/2006 19:16

Moondog - will the return of DH put an end to all your excellent eating and exercising habits? Find DH being home pretty disasterous myself. Off anywhere nice after being "Leeza'd"?

Have been drinking wine regularly although not in huge quantities, have been keeping up the cleansing and moisturising but need to ReFinish tonight (read review which said that the Olay stuff is better though), food okay, lots of water, swimming and playing with the children counts as exercise doesn't it?

At the start of the year I wanted to have a peresonal shopping experience by Easter (assuming I would have toned up in 16 weeks) amm now aiming for half term soo the next 6 week plan is crucial!

Isn't WWW moving this week and unlikely to be able to use her computer? Is she entrusting someone to start it in her absence?
