I'm shocked by the amount of fraeks who wear pants over tights

Last night I wore a pair of tights that reached my bra line fgs. that was weird enough

I think you all need to buy tights and bras that fit properly.

what do the high denier tights do to your ankles?

And how do you avoid our legs looking like tre trunks with two pairs of opaques?

Agree bet the larger ladies are still buying medium and vice Versa.

Fraeks in 2 bras, get yourselves an snell bra. Not a particularly good look but contains the norms marvellously for running

When I was younger I was always cold and would wear opaques under leggings.

I've worn Spanx on two occasion
Once I thought I might pass out and removed them and the other I was unconvinced that they made me thinner just more like a wider flatter sausage

Multiples of knickers, tights, Spanx bras etc means you are buying either the wrong size or the wrong size for that product.
Cos you are normally a medium does not mean you are always a medium Ffs.

I think that there are loads of tights for fatties but fewer for fat tall women.
I had a prob with tights when I was fat and wore opaque stockings instead

I am loving all the spanx sausage women! They look terrible you can tell everything is sort of flattened and pushed up down and all around.

I agree about the medium sizing being misleading. I am 5ft4 and an 8-10 and wear a medium in tights.

I do not need to wear knickers over them to keep them up.

I dont think all spanx wearers look terrible or sausagey, but badly fitted ones do. And they don't look right under all fabrics either.

I have 32 inch legs. Size 12. Wear large.

I needed to wear pants over tights as unless I buy expensive ones they are never long enough. I am a size 10, probably 34" inside leg and an L isn't long enough. I can occasionally get an xxl or tall fit, but it tends to cost me lots which I resent.

I tried hold ups instead but the sticky stuff gave me a rash.

Given up now and wear leggings or footless tights with boots.

Or trousers.

I wear large as well and am a size 8-10.

I am very long waisted and have found that the best tights for long gusset (what a terrible word) are either primark 1000 denier or whatever or Charnos from house of frase, not too expensive (8 quid) and last forever, I have got a couple of pairs I have had for years.

I don't see the point of spanx - whenevr I have worn them they have been supremely uncomfortable and made my stomach area look odd. I don't think they can give you a flat stomach if you haven't got one iyswim.

When I was a teenager, my mother used to tell me to wear pants over tights to keep them up (this was pre-lycra - can't see the need any more.) One day I wore a pair of loose frilly pants which gradually made their way down to my knees as the day went on. As I was wearing a short skirt at the time, this caused great amusement to the staff and customers in the shop where I was working. I have never done it since.

Well I think that if a 'large' equates to a size 8-10, then something is going very wrong in the tights sizing department.

No wonder so many people have trouble getting them to fit.

Don't Spanx just redistribute the flabby bits?

As for all the doubling/tripling up of tights, pants, bras etc.....bizarre

I am 5'6, size 12 and pear shaped. I almost always buy XL tights (except from John Lewis as they really are XL, I found out) and they are very comfy and do not give me Nora Batty legs.

Ignore the sizing guide on the box - it's always wrong!

Nylon tights are just the work of the devil, that's all there is to it. Sweaty, sausagey, riding-downy horrors.

Leggings just work so much better - they stay up, don't make you sweaty - if leggings can do it, why can't tights

I wish someone would just make leggings with FEET in and I'd be sorted for stuff I can't wear leggings with.

When I have 2 pairs of tights with a ladder in a leg, I cut off the laddered leg so I half 2 half pairs of tights. I then put on one leg then the other.. voila! a new pair of tights !

No !! Its true, thought everyone did it... Oh dear..Not sure where I got idea (probably was Viz in my poor student days). My sister does it, I have even introduced it to my 11 year old, she was well impressed. Give it a go girls !
