I'm shocked by the amount of fraeks who wear pants over tights

Last night I wore a pair of tights that reached my bra line fgs. that was weird enough

It sounds so uncomfy and itchy . (I have seam issues)

I simply don't believe that an ordinary pant has the required muscle to heft up a pair of opaques

i wear tights under trousers when it is cold. sometimes you get a draft up your leg and the tights prevent it. also like vest tops. hate my back getting cold.

never have worn pants over tights though. just not me. don't care if they are hanging down the crotch a bit or wrinkled at the ankle. too bad

I have a linked issue.

I sometimes wear control underwear and find I can't wear tights on top as the tights fall down because of the sloppy material in the underwear. So I have to wear my tights in top.

I never knew people did this...frankly I am shocked!

why 2 pairs...what's the benefit?

I've never worn knickers over tights, but I have worn two pairs when it's cold (thin next to skin then woolly over the top).

I wear tights under trousers if it's cold/I'm going to dancing that night without going home first. I once nearly knocked myself out in a toilet cubicle trying to put a pair of tights on, so I'm keep not to repeat that scenario.

We wont mention the day where I wore thin tights, thick tights, thermal long johns and then jeans and two pairs of socks over the top. I was a student and couldn't afford central heating.

how bad are your legs that you are all wearing basically leggings as tights?

I feel claustrophobic at just the thought of all those tight layers!

Dd wears pants over tights to keep them up. She's a skinny 8 yo with no hips though!

Tights squinch my bum cheeks when I sit down and give them the itch! But I'd love a pair that came up so high they had arm holes in.

I don't do pants over tights, but in the winter will nearly always wear 2 pairs of tights! Just keeps you warmer!
In fact DD1, who is pretty skinny and tiny, wore 3 pairs of tights when it was snowy last year as she was so freezing and the tights were warmer than trousers!

Don't do pants over tights, but I think tights over spanx is surely fairly normal? They do totally different jobs - I sometimes wear them under a fitted dress for work and it wouldn't be acceptable to be bare-legged.

I never have, but I may try it now you've mentioned it. I have 33 inch inside leg and a lot of tights end up round my knees because they're too short. Perhaps this will help.

Dd saw me wearing pants over tights when she was about 14, and when I explained that I do it to keep them up she said "oh, my God- and you never told me! You're supposed to share these women's mysteries with me- you're such a rubbish mother!"

So tell me where I can find tights that will fit me and don't cost a bomb. I have 34" legs and am a size 14.
I have to wear boxer briefs over my tights or they fall down.

On stage once, I wore spanx and three pairs of tights under a silk nightie. I was a frigging size EIGHT! What the feck I thought I was holding in I have no idea!

Yikes. I've only just recommenced wearing tights at all, and that's while thinking really strong anti-thrush thoughts ALL THE TIME. Two pairs, no way I could think enough.

Tan pair of tights underneath black tights on top. Covers up hairy legs. Very popular with some transvestites I hear.

I did this when I was seven but that was only because my recalcitrant mother shrunk my tights in the wash so that the crotch came down to my knees.

Used to do this with my catholic grammar school tights - they were a fetching petroleum blue and had zero lycra in them. Pants over the top only way to retain any dignity. Also only had max 3 pairs so there was a constant round of hand washing the buggers.

Primark did great tights up til 2 years ago but they are less good now. Used to cime all the way up to my armpits and stick like glue. I still have a couple of pairs from yonks ago and they even go over my 21 wk twin PG bump and don't mve all day. Shame the feet have gone bobbly but fine with boots. Might try the oasis jobbies - they sound good.
