Shirt dresses a nono with a post CS tum I think.

Am size 14- 16, small waist, big butt, aforementioned tummy issue. 5'6'. Look alarming in jeans.

Used to have a nice line in funky day-to-evening wear for work but none of it suitable for looking after a toddler in. Sold it all on ebay so have some £ to spend.

What should i get?

fio - have you seen the Kaftan dress thing in the flesh as it were? Do you think it could be good and stretchy for someone a bit bigger than a 16 at the mo??

a dress????? Oh for those days again Grin

Lovely with some capri pants

I'm funny about showing my upper arms, must continue to furiously exfoliate - maybe they will have completely disappeared by the time of my hols

DesperateHousewife \link{http://www.zapelle.com/uk/newdefault.asp\this} website does lots of different tunics and they can make it to your measurements. I haven't bought anything from them, but I'm quite drawn to some of the tops in the Folkloric collection.

You're welcome. Smile

Have you had a look at the ethnic styles (link above the picture)? They do traditional style salwar kameez that you can customise as much as you want (neckline, sleeve length, tunic length, trouser style). You could always wear the tunic with jeans, or if you had the trousers made as straight leg or boot cut it wouldn't look too much as if you had to replace lost clothes while on holiday in India. For instance \link{http://www.eshakti.com/uk/clothpdpage.asp?catalog=Clothes&cate=Cotton+Classics&productid=CL0009236\this one} would look great if it was hip lenght (rather than thigh length) and 3/4 sleeves. Or \link{http://www.eshakti.com/uk/clothpdpage.asp?catalog=Clothes&cate=Cotton+Classics&productid=CL0009217\this} is pretty too.

I have the same with my inlaws FioFio - mil and sil were both Miss ....town in their day. Sil's children are very insecure. But rich. I once faked illness to avoid a ball as they are all so glam. I feel very frumpy and huge. Sil is very petite and I'm nearly 5 10. Compared with my friends I feel fine, but looking good is a major part of their lives. I can't compete on that level at all and I'd love to. I do have less wrinkles though...
