Not yet but I am looking. I think french connection is good for coats though, went in today but they only had two smarter ones on the shop floor (but more in stock room ready to be put out soon). I decided I must be a bit early looking-usually I leave it too late and can't find one-can't win!

quirrelquarrel · 12/09/2012 15:36

Topshop does nice trench coats :-) wee bit pricey though.

I love my heavy long Topshop coat....but I can't believe I bought something from there for that price (£80)!

hlipop · 12/09/2012 15:42

no but i need a good (but cheapish) one!!

GobblersKnob · 12/09/2012 15:44

I bought this from and H&M, was the princely sum of £17 something delivered with codes and I love it, very warm and very flattering and did I mention it was seventeen quid Grin

MrsSnow · 12/09/2012 16:32

I've bought this Mango We are going to be going to Denmark and Scotland later this year and there is no way on earth I am going to risk being cold Grin

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 12/09/2012 16:34

I've already got a gorgeous Ralph Lauren parka ( bargain in sale ) but need a new warmer thing.

I ditched my down jacket 2 years ago as I was sick or looking like michelin woman but god I miss how cosy it was!

I am still enjoying my Merrell Haven from two years ago but need something lightweight and pref waterproof for autumn, so marking my place!

Plopsicle · 12/09/2012 16:37

I was looking at that mango one on ASOS mrssnow is it good quality? My nearest mango store is miles away.

MegBusset · 12/09/2012 16:40

I'm thinking of getting a Merrell Wakefield for autumn, dunno if they're too warm though...

SugarBatty · 12/09/2012 16:48

Marking my place, need a warm waterproof parka style that still looks feminine. Oh and cheap too!

GreenShadow · 12/09/2012 16:55

Love the Mango coat - just the sort of thing I am looking for, but ideally a bit cheaper. Also don't have a store locally and do prefer to see / try before I buy.

Mine needs to be warm as I occasionally work outside, but at the same time must'n look like an anorak.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 12/09/2012 17:09

I like the mango one too.. I've seen another one from mango in a mag that has a wool lining that looks cute.. it's an oversized parka.

plopscile it's feels amazing, and has inner bits so the wind doesn't come up the sleeves.

The puffy bits are bitsand smaller and the belt helps make it appear fitted so it doesn't pay homage to the Michelin man.

John Lewis has it as well with free postage.

lotsofteddies · 12/09/2012 17:21

Gobblers I liked the look of that so much have just ordered it! Also searched for codes and got it for £17, brilliant..thanks!

quirrelquarrel · 12/09/2012 17:33

Saw a grey wool Zara coat with a hood in the charity shop I used to work in on Monday...mum said it was ridiculous spending £10 on a charity shop coat (never mind that it would have cost about six times that at least new)....but I loved it, went back today and it was gone :( I'm slightly obsessed now, trying to find ones that look the same!

Mumelie · 12/09/2012 20:40

I already have a smart wool Boden coat from last year but have just ordered this from tk maxx for more casual school run.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 12/09/2012 21:01

It's nice mum there are quite a few good ones on tk's site.

Yes got a bargain here

Plopsicle · 13/09/2012 10:27

Think I'm going to order the mango coat, is their sizing really small?

I'm a size 12/14 would that be a L or XL?

scentednappyhag · 13/09/2012 10:35

I've revamped one of my nan's old coats for this Autumn, maybe not S&B worthy, but I'm chuffed Grin
It's a knee length brown suede trench-ish coat, I've sewn on a faux fur collar in a fox colour and it looks fab (even if I do say so myself!>
It won't be warm enough for really chilly mornings, but I feel like a 40s starlet swishing about in it Grin

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 13/09/2012 10:39

That's cool scented! sounds nice Smile

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the H&M code? I've been hunting but I'm obviously not awake enough yet to manage it...

GobblersKnob · 13/09/2012 10:55

1304 is £5 off anything

You can always use 2 codes together and I think 9921 is 25 % off the most expensive item.

If not look here and work your way through them Smile

NellyBluth · 13/09/2012 10:58

Thank you!!!

GreenShadow · 14/09/2012 16:11

TKMaxx has quite a lot in at the moment and may be worth a visit.
I found something very similar to Mumelie, like this but in black. Feels incredibly warm and is machine washable, which my last coat wasn't..
