the cork wedges.

I think she's lovely I really do but please love - get some new shoes.

I like her barnett, but it must have been super hot under it. I'd have pulled it back like she has in the ^^pic in the knitty sailor suit.

I have to confess to having a touch of the same interest in what she wears as I did with Diana.

Pinot · 12/09/2012 14:15

The sailor dress was too heavy - SJP wore it in a navy and it was equally awful on her.

I do like Kate with her hair back, but I think to some extent she dresses for the crowds - they want to see her famous mane... and the high shoes are good for visibility.

EnjoyGOLDResponsibly · 12/09/2012 14:16

To be honest anyone over the age of 3 and not called Honey Boo Boo should desist from wearing a sailor suit (actual sailors exempted).

JodieHarsh · 12/09/2012 14:16

If I had to be on my feet all day every day smiling merrily I'd wear shoes I knew I was comfortable in, so there.

I love her. I really really do. I wish she would ditch the eyeliner but apart from that I go all misty-eyed whenever I see her picture Confused

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:17

I think its perfectly natural to be interested in what she's wearing. There's a site or app now that lists exactly what she's wearing so you can order it/buy it. Whatever she wears sells.

Those lkb patent courts fly off their shelves and have gone up a lot in price too. She is big news for the fashion industry and personally I'd rather she did wear some designer stuff - especially from British designers. Diana certainly did and since Charles pays for her clothes am not sure how much criticism she'd get.

I've always assumed she wasn't allowed to have her own taste, once she was married to Wills. I mean they might give her a choice but it would be limited.

Same with the make up - I adore her and I don't think any of this is her fault. I think she gets pretty much guided on what to wear, even if it isn't what she would naturally choose.

I might be wrong of course.

JodieHarsh · 12/09/2012 14:17

ANd YY to Michelle's dress being a monstrosity.

She has an astonishing Amazonion figure but I think she's taken the praise of her biceps too much to heart - wouldn't hurt to just occasionally wear something with sleeves Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:17

She needs some scholl party shoes gel soles.

Or to do what the Queen does and get her dresser to break in all her shoes for her.

EdMcDunnough · 12/09/2012 14:18

and I never thought she was shapeless - she has beautiful legs, anyway. No idea about the rest!

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:18

I think what Kate wears is generally good and appropriate - its a hard role to dress for I'm sure.

Its just those cork wedges I loathe [bitchy etc etc]

Agree, if one must wear cork wedges, it should be strictly as resort wear ( in your case Mrs CB the last resort Wink).

Just looked at the pic of Mrs O, dear oh dear, that was a gaffe. I'm broad like her and learned at a very early age to avoid racer shoulders. She's got terrific pins though.

Pinot · 12/09/2012 14:23

I bet they're bloody comfy though. Bouncy.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/09/2012 14:23

That green Jenny Packham was amazing, I loved it.

I agree her shoe choices are very safe, but what is she supposed to wear?

noddyholder · 12/09/2012 14:24

I dont like those nude heels at all Her dresses are usually ok and appropriate but she has a great figure for fashion and needs to take more risks. British designers could really be great for her. The shoes are hideous but like her hair

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:25

Yes cork wedges to me suggest lunch by the pool [because thats obviously my life] Wink

There's loads of lovely shoes out there - Lucy Choi has just launched her range and they're pretty much the same price point as LKB but just nicer.

I like her hair and would adore hair like hers. Curses fine mousy hair.

OP posts:
Ephiny · 12/09/2012 14:53

I don't love the shoes but they look fine on her. I think she looks fantastic, as always.

(didn't like the sailor suit though, no adult should wear that...)

MadBusLady · 12/09/2012 14:53

I can't understand the idea that wedges are "comfortable". IME there's no difference between like-for-like wedges and most other heels. It's heel height and the fit of the shoe that determine comfort, unless they really are thin stilettos.

I do have very strange feet, mind you.

PretzelTime · 12/09/2012 15:01

She looks pretty. You know who looks really dull next to her? William. Can't he spice up his outfits a little? Perhaps get some make-up and a wig

cocolepew · 12/09/2012 15:04

I like her, William, on the other hand, needs to sort his hair out. Just bloody shave it.

TunipTheVegemal · 12/09/2012 15:04

Good thinking PretzelTime. It could be like that time in the 80s when Blue Peter had a competition to design some new clothes for Peter Duncan and the winner was a green and white checked suit with a huge bow tie.

cocolepew · 12/09/2012 15:04

Ha, xpost!

LadyMargolotta · 12/09/2012 15:11

In one of the photos she is standing on grass, maybe she chose the wedges because they are better on grass then high heels?

purplehouse · 12/09/2012 15:15

She always looks lovely. Not sure why she has to get rid or her shoes. Hope they are comfortable.

ThursdayWillBeTheDay · 12/09/2012 15:40

I read somewhere that she has bazillions of those shoes (spesh the beigey ones,to go with all the beigey frocks) and Camilla and Sophie have got some too.

Perhaps a BOGOF?
