I think she's lovely I really do but please love - get some new shoes.

Constructive criticism!? That's hilarious! Grin

I personally would take constructive criticism from a friend, a teacher etc. Not a random on the internet who for all i know dresses like a clown. Sure km appreciates it Hmm

drjohnsonscat · 12/09/2012 14:00

Not at all viperous, me! I look a total mess 99% of the time. And a slight mess the rest of the time. But the press don't big me up as being a style icon. It's the gap between PR and reality that I find odd.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:02

Blimey poo - did you design her shoes?

And personally I'd rather see her wear lots of British designer shoes to promote the fashion industry. I am just so shallow and bitchy I know. Looks at sad clown clothes in despair.

Oh crikey, I don't mean to have a go at her - she normally looks great afaik. I just think sometimes someone at the palace decides she has to look like 'royalty' and puts her in some Godawful thing that looks like HRH would wear it.

Honestly it was a few weeks ago, I last saw a picture like that. I can't remember where.

NCForNow · 12/09/2012 14:03

She's bloody gorgeous. Leave her alone!

noddyholder · 12/09/2012 14:04

I think she is quiet plain looking

StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2012 14:04

I actually think Catherine is overall extremely stylish - I had to do a sort of style mood board the other day and had a couple of pictures of her on it as I think she looks very elegant and wears some lovely clothes. But, I saw those pics this morning - the first one showed the (white) suit and I thought oh, that's lovely, really feminine and nice. Then I saw a photo with the shoes and thought "they really don't work, they're too clumpy for such a delicate outfit"

That does not make me a bitch, or a viper, or anything else.

Pinot · 12/09/2012 14:04

PooPoo, this is mild for S&B. Don't have a hernia fretting, I'm sure Kate isn't online to read it.

As it is. OI! NO KATE HATING! I luffs her and her shoes. Well I did, but even I'm bored of the Middleton-of-the-road nude patents.

I loved the broderie anglaise suit though.

She and I would be such great mates

EnjoyGOLDResponsibly · 12/09/2012 14:04

It's the wedges that make me go GRR. I can handle the nude courts just about.

You'd have thought LK Bennett would have tossed a few pairs of freebs from the A/W collection. It's not like The Duchess hasn't made them a freakin fortune from flogging her Sledges to death.

noddyholder · 12/09/2012 14:05

Yes the broderie anglais is lovely

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:05

The broderie dress is very pretty indeed - it just needed different shoes.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:06

Yes I don't mind the nude patents - they're inoffensive. But I loathe cork soles generally and they just don't go with that dress.

EdMcDunnough · 12/09/2012 14:06

this sort of thing I mean, but I'm sure it was worse. She can look so much nicer, but I guess everything she wants to wear gets vetted?

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 12/09/2012 14:07

I don't know why I like her so much. But I do.

She doesn't dress the way I do and her make up is quite dated but she has a lovely way about her.

Don't be too mean.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/09/2012 14:08

I like the fact she dresses in a ladylike way and its a refreshing change from the TOWIE lot.

But I think she has looked her best when in very structured dresses like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&sa=X&biw=1366&bih=627&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=q6Hib9wXdIPgWM:&imgrefurl=www.fabsugar.co.uk/Kate-Middleton-Wears-Roland-Mouret-Dress-Jimmy-Choo-Shoes-23024580&docid=3C0eJJFWKOR6uM&imgurl=media1.onsugar.com/files/2012/05/19/3/258/2589280/Kate-Middleton-Mouret.xxxlarge/i/Kate-Middleton-Wears-Roland-Mouret-Dress-Jimmy-Choo-Shoes.jpg&w=550&h=550&ei=R4lQULjZIOXl4QTe8oGIBA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=309&vpy=134&dur=1328&hovh=224&hovw=224&tx=102&ty=132&sig=111222976811423860460&page=1&tbnh=137&tbnw=137&start=0&ndsp=27&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:79" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this and look at those shoes.

She is really good at smiling, isn't she? And looking serious. And wearing clothes.
And also, Prince William looks really happy when they're together.

EldritchCleavage · 12/09/2012 14:10

But she isn't dressing to please us. She's dressing mainly not to offend or let the side down, and a little bit for herself. And I think her taste is genuinely quite safe/classic.

QueenCadbury · 12/09/2012 14:11

It's the hair that drives me mad or rather the way she is always seen sticking it behind her ears. Or maybe it's just a chance to flash the engagement ring.

brandysoakedbitch · 12/09/2012 14:12

the knitted sailor dress was fecking awful - made her shapelessness even more apparent

JazzyComposition · 12/09/2012 14:12

I like her wedges. I wonder if she's got wide feet like me.

SunnilyEnough · 12/09/2012 14:12

I agree with everything you say, MrsCB. Spot on.

brandysoakedbitch · 12/09/2012 14:13

statistically that is a lovely dress but she looks strangely jwelly in that pic - a bit hard faced

KateSpade · 12/09/2012 14:13

I hate cork wedges. Whichever stylist let her wear them needs to be sacked!

brandysoakedbitch · 12/09/2012 14:14

jowelly not jwelly

is that a word even?
