Does anybody not like Liz Earle??

I think it is going to have to be done (buying LE that is) - I have been oil cleansing for months now and although my skin is loads better I still get spots Hmm. I know LE has glowing reviews pretty much everywhere but cocoa butter is very comedogenic and eucalyptus can be very irritant for sensitive skin?

Did anyone try it and find it didn't work, or is really a wonderproduct?
thank you

I hate it, dont get the hype its the worst stuff, it made me break out worse than when i was a teenager. my skin is super sensitive even decleor gives me spots and rashes. There is a range in superdrug called vitamin e, I am using the hot cloth cleanser at the moment and it's fab. Cheap as chips too.

MadBusLady · 07/09/2012 11:20

If it works for you Aiming, then it works. Smile All these things are going to work on different people to an extent.

At the moment I'm on a mix of oil cleansing method and Clinique anti-redness cleanser, which are both ok for me. Don't think I'm ever going to be shot of the blackheads though.

I use Boots Hot Cloth cleanser. It is on 3 for 2 at the moment and is very good.

squoosh · 07/09/2012 11:25

I'm using the Boots Botanics cleansing balm at the moment. I love it.

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 11:41

ME!!! I fall in and out of love with her stuff tbh. I get on well with cleanse and polish but find it over priced and don't get on at all well with her moisturisers.

I have recently discovered The Body Shops Aloe range which is the best thing I have ever tried and believe me I have tried everything under the sun. SO impressed with the range and have the nicest skin I have every had in my adult life.

JodieHarsh · 07/09/2012 11:47

Anyone gone any light to shed on my horrid pustulating face?

CherryBlossom27 · 07/09/2012 11:53

My Mum has really good skin despite years and years on sunbathing and she swears by the basic Olay moisturiser!

I've tried the Liz Earle cleanser, toner and moisturiser as it was given to me as a gift, I did like it, but I felt the moisturiser didn't soak in very fast, so more something I would use at night time than first thing in the morning.

val spill woman!

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 11:56

Jodie - have replied to your thread x

sugarice · 07/09/2012 11:58

I think her essential oils in C+P can be very harsh on some skins especially sensitive or those prone to rosecea type conditions.

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 11:59

Pinot I cannot tell you how good this stuff is, no parabans(sp?) or nasties either. I am buying tons of stuff at TBS as it is so good and so flipping cheap it's unbelievable if you buy on line. Every week they seem to do 45% off if you buy on line plus free delivery. Very Very impressed.

Oh and have stopped using L'oreal anti dandruff shampoo and am using TBS's ginger shampoo which is better and smells GAWGUSS!

ArthurShappey · 07/09/2012 11:59

I don't like it... It does my skin no favours at all.

However I love the concept of the muslin cloth and now use Muslim cloths a lot.

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:00

suga I think the rosemary in the moisturiser sets my skin off - ick!

Pinot · 07/09/2012 12:01

ooOoo thanks! Will check it out! Better than OCM you reckon?

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:05

I use the day cream and the night cream - grand total of £6 each! - not used the exfoliated yet as it keeps being out of stock. It's got great reviews on the site if you need more convincing Wink

It's a fab base for Bare Minerals too!

Pinot · 07/09/2012 12:06

baaaaaaaaaaaaaa Wink

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:07

Buy online, 45% off and free delivery at the moment, the code is on the web site!

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:07

And Moroccan Rose body spray and body butter is to die for!

GobblersKnob · 07/09/2012 12:08

valiumredhead yay another Body Shop convert.

I am the same but have been using their Naturalift range (very similar, no nasties) and yes, I have the best skin, I have ever had.

And yy to all the codes, it's great Grin

JodieHarsh · 07/09/2012 12:09

Thanks Val XX

Hey, do you think the TBS Aloe stuff would be good for very sensitive skins?? I will happily try anything, and am keen not to get into anything spendy just now (about to downsize to self-employment and foresee abject poverty and living in a hovel etc. etc.)

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:09

Oooooooo how lovely another BS Sheep Grin The products are amazing, aren't they Gobblers?

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:11

jodie I have SUCH sensitive skin it's ridiculous and flaky too - except have been flake free for 2 weeks now since using this stuff!!!! I have English Rose, high colour, super sensitive and am FINE with it.

Sillybillypoopoomummy · 07/09/2012 12:11

Follows Pinot and Val to TBS...

Thank you everyone - given I have the most sensitive skin in the world and tendency to something rosacea like I think I am going to run for the hills then Grin.

Used to use TBS loads when I was a teenager but funnily enough have just gone back to it for their banana shampoo/conditioner too. Is working wonders on my thick hair!

Oh Val that sounds just like my fizzog. When my skin is not cross, or spotty, or dry, it's a really lovely complexion. but that's about 1 day in 100 Sad

I'm heading straight for TBS site Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

valiumredhead · 07/09/2012 12:12

YY the banana conditioner is FAB stuff!
