I have sorted through my wardrobe and found all my lovely funky clothes. woolly skirts and chunky tights, warm boots, scarves and hats...

I bought a denim shirt dress on ebay and cant wait to wear it.

I love cold weather.

I can't wait either! I thought I was the only one who got secretly excited when Autumn was here :o

insancerre · 05/09/2012 16:57

I love autumn/winter clothes. I love the colours too. I am a winter person, hate bright sunny clothes.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 16:57

oh no, I love the colours, the fabrics, the make up....

I bought my autumn nailpolishes yesterday.

it made me happy

Not at all! I have some lovely jumper dresses for work that I can't wait to wear. :)

PurpleAndPoppyWearer · 05/09/2012 16:59

I am longing to break out my two (yes, two) lovely new fairisle cardigans. Short skirts, opaque tights and boots are my winter staples. I also have some fab new skinny jeans in autumnal hues.

I hate summer clothes! No way I can bare my whiter-than-white legs above the knee. Cropped trousers are the most revealing I can do.

OnlyWantsOne · 05/09/2012 16:59

I too love colder weather. It was a breezy 17 degrees here today and I wore my favourite scarf - oh goodness I long for boots & tights

I need some staple things to wear post baby ( she's two weeks old and I'm now a flabby size 16 not a 10!!)

NellyBluth · 05/09/2012 17:01

Nope! Opaque tights - no need to shave every other day Wink

TitsalinaBumSquash · 05/09/2012 17:01

Oh yes op I'm dreaming of funky jumper dresses and tights, long boots and gloves/scarfs/hats.

SweatyBallsMakeMeSneeze · 05/09/2012 17:02

I CANNOT WAIT. I'm sick of shitty summer weather where you have to have 3 different outfits for each day. I'm sick of going out when it's cold only to turn into a puddle of sweat an hour later and then turning into an actual puddle when the rain hits.

At least with winter you know where you are.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 05/09/2012 17:07

I love my winter wardrobe, especially my work clothes as I never seem to get it right in the summer, but winter means suit dresses, knee high boots and opaque tights.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:07

oh god, being able to leave your armpits, and not carry cardigans, sunscreen, umbrellas and sunglasses. my new winter boots came today. I have been stroking them.

currently looking for a new jumper dress.

onlywantsone, what type of thing are you looking for? we can help!

OP posts:
BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:10

I like this, wrong size for me though but what a bargain.

keema, yep. I always feel comfier in winter. even short, my tweedy shorts look great with riding boots and woolly tights. and just better put together than summer shorts.

susitwoshoes · 05/09/2012 17:12

oooh, no, I love it! In fact, I could do with some style tips - 41 (but look younger), small, topheavy, bit of a flabby pot belly - can I get away with a short skirt? And what tops are good - everything I've tried on so far makes me look like a sack. (sorry, thread hijack).

I love autumn in every possible way, unlike summer it never disappoints. Irritatingly, it's still pretty hot here, grrr.

amillionyears · 05/09/2012 17:12

No way, cant abide wearing heavy clothes.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:15

susie, what type of thing are you looking for?

amillionyears, I love it. I love chunky cardis and heavy duvets.

I like autumn and spring clothes but not summer or depths of winter! Looking forward to boots and jeans, but with little jackets not heaving great padded coats. It can wait another month, I'd like to try and lose another 5lbs so I can get a size down for winter wardrobe spending Grin

susitwoshoes · 05/09/2012 17:21

well, I work at home 2 days and look after toddler DD 3 days, so I've always felt bad spending much on me as no-one other than DD gets to see it! So it's been skinny jeans and tops for the last couple of years. But I would love to wear more skirts, but then don't know what tops to get to go with them. And tops for jeans are quite hard due to huge boobs and general out-of-shapeness.

So, funky but practical. Not too grown-up looking, iykwim. I'm an Ugg Ultimates and trainers woman when it comes to footwear.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:26

this is lovely

OP posts:
BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:27

and this

OP posts:
BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:29

kew would look good with pull on boots and detract from boobs

OP posts:
susitwoshoes · 05/09/2012 17:32

I like the second JL one, but wouldn't that material show every lump and bump? (I have many, not just the bosom). The other 2 look a bit worky and smart for me.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:35

possibly. how about this

OP posts:
mignonette · 05/09/2012 17:35

I love Autumn, Winter and the cooler days of early Spring. Colours need to be deeper in tone because of the lower light levels and so I think they are extra flattering.

Am enjoying the nights drawing in, the woolly socks I can now wear, cosy scarves and socks with boots without my feet melting.

Make up can go darker and more intense too.

Berry colours yum! What's not to like?
