I have sorted through my wardrobe and found all my lovely funky clothes. woolly skirts and chunky tights, warm boots, scarves and hats...

I bought a denim shirt dress on ebay and cant wait to wear it.

I love cold weather.

me too! keep looking at my chunky tights! And have an ace dress form Kew (in sale) that I'm so looking forward to wearing. I can hide a multitude of sins!

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:40

I am so getting this

um, again, I like it but worry about me tummy. This is mainly why I like winter, I get to stick on a huge parka to cover it all up! Thank you anyway, I would never have looked at this kind of thing, I shall have to do some trying on. I might drag out my brutally honest friend to go clothes shopping.

susitwoshoes · 05/09/2012 17:42

oh yes! Love the skirt. Yes yes yes. What would you wear on top with that?

mignonette · 05/09/2012 17:42

Am wearing charcoal Pointelle woollen weave tights today with burnt orange flannel city shorts and big stripy slouchy sweater. Am in heaven. This is my time.

Plan to buy a whole wardrobe of tights this year in every colour and pattern to wear with Fugly shoes, ankle boots, Bikers. And Manolo Mary Janes' too Grin.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 17:44

I would wear a loose fit basic jumper like this

I prefer summer clothes when the weather is warm and sunny. I like not having lots of socks to hang on the washing line (my feet get cold very easily). I love floaty dresses, linen trousers, T shirts etc. I hate being cold and having to wear several layers. We get far months months of cold weather than warm in the UK, so I am hoping we get another Indian summer like last year.

mignonette · 05/09/2012 18:03

That's a cute sweater, Blame. I am making myself some collars to wear with my plain sweaters and tops. I made a collar out of soft baby cord which people have complimented. You can loosely tack them on or just attach to ribbon or even a thin leather cord if the top you are wearing it with is more 'rustic' looking.

MrsMeow · 05/09/2012 18:06

Love love love autumn/winter clothes - boots, tights, big jumpers, scarves & hats, being able to eat an extra cake and hide your stomach away under layers Grin

I hate the lack of clothes in the summer, even at my skinniest I always felt exposed with just one layer on.

chocolateshoes · 05/09/2012 19:10

Like that skirts Blame. Had a similar one from Next last year.

Mignonette - me too. Love loads of woolly tights & legwarmers in autumnal colours with ankle boots. Best thing about winter.

WhyTheBigGoldPaws · 05/09/2012 19:16

I really like that skirt, am strangely attracted to tweedy things this year. Pity I have got horrible legs but on the other hand opaque tights can do wonderful things :)

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 20:33

I love opaque tights and tweed.

I have just done my nails teal to celebrate September!

Oh no, are sweater dresses in this winter? I can't do sweater dresses at all, I'm 5'1 with the last of a post-baby belly, they looked bloody awful on me. What's in this winter that will go with skinnies?

DisabilEightiesChick · 05/09/2012 21:05

Me too. I love cardigans and boots.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 22:18

nelly, loose fitted longline tops and cardis?

OP posts:
NellyBluth · 05/09/2012 22:23

Hmm, cardis are always good! Not sure about longline fitted tops though - anything loose makes me look dumpy. I'm not entirely sure why I am asking, I've almost given up going in to a fashionable shop and finding anything I like! Grin

PorkyandBess · 05/09/2012 22:23

I can't wait for winter clothes.

I am torn between enjoying this gorgeous weather and wanting to put boots on.

I also want to wear my Hunters with wellie socks!

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 05/09/2012 22:39

h&m have some great tops.

I need newwellies

Im not sure if im the only one but I guess others do feel the same,I think I prefer A/W clothes because not so much of my body is exposed and I can comfortably wear cover up clothes on the bits I don't like without feeling silly and sweltering in the heat! Also I find myself getting rather envious of youger, slimmer people stripped off in the skimpy shorts and vests etc!Its a shame really because I used to really enjoy the summer but now just feel like I want to hide away!

doglover · 10/09/2012 21:09

I so agree with the earlier comments. This summer has been a bit of a washout and I'm desperately keen to wear my new A/W clothes. I've lost 2 stone in weight (another 2 to go!) and this has meant that I've just HAD to buy a few new items ...........................

KatieMorag · 11/09/2012 08:16

Well done on the weightloss, dog lover

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 11/09/2012 12:40

Today I wore my baxter jeans with my flat leather fuggs and a fine knit sweater and my brown checked coat. I felt so good!
