For anyone who likes to talk about style, nice stuff that they've bought and so on.

Thanks Issimma that looks good.

Pop nearly there! Doing well good luck for Monday.

I have big Miu Miu sunnies graduated tiny a bit, mauvish to brown. Very handy on the school run, I mean those bright days.

I like Balenciaga and love some of the vintage ones I saw on NaP.

Yes I agree Shop money well spent. Good one!

Rayban wayfarers, but would you expect anything else from me?

Annoyed as I missed DHL with my Kors heels, have to wait til Monday now! Ah, well, going coat shopping on Sunday, so it could be worse!

Good luck pop, hope you get it!

Glad the feedback on the skirt is positive - cannot wait to order it now!!

Fleecy · 21/09/2012 20:38

I can't spend much on sunglasses because I always lose them or sit on them or the children get their sticky hands on them. Mine are from Dorothy Perkins Grin Bags and jeans are my £££ items but then I use/wear them pretty much all the time...

Amber I saw someone in your wedge high tops today. She had them with rolled up boyfriend jeans which is a look I hadn't considered but it worked really well.

IShallPracticeMyCurtsey · 22/09/2012 10:39

Just popping back to report on the Zara burgundy dress: it arrived and it's lovely.

I was a bit concerned about the sizing after Pop's comment about the random Zara sizing... I'd consulted with a friend who is the same size as me and took her reccomendation on what size to order. It fits like a glove and will be easy to dress up or dress down. I'm a tiny bit concerned that if I put on any winter weight it'll be a tight squeeze, but I can see that the next size up would be too big. So, it's staying!

For sunglasses, my favourite pair is one my mother owned in the late 70s/early 80s. No idea what brand but they're brown and oversized and look great with everything. Rayban Aviators are my other default option, but like Fleecy I ALWAYS lose the good ones, so have to have a back-up supply of high street lookalikes.

trixymalixy · 22/09/2012 10:55

Amber that skirt is amazing, good choice!
marsha love those lanvin wedges.

I have had one pair of expensive sunglasses, from Missoni, I think I had them for a couple of weeks before DS got hold of them and scratched the lenses beyond repair. I now just buy cheap ones that are essentially disposable.

My Zara order arrived in store on Thursday which was v annoying as I was straight out for dinner and the theatre after work so didn't want to have to carry it around. It'll have to wait until Monday now. Why do Zara take so blooming long to deliver?

MarshaBrady · 22/09/2012 19:08

IShall good work on the dress!

Trixy it is a bit slow isn't it.

Fleecy great to see you (as Fleecy Grin)

I am a wedge convert. Love them. Wore them all day in Hyde Park, great Autumn day in the sun etc. I just need something waterproof for the winter park season. Oh and really would love a very warm knit before going into coats.

Lovely boots Marsha but sadly a bit too £££ for me. They'll look great with your Proenza black skinnies Wink.

I'm so with you on wedges for height + comfort. I wear my Ash Bowies most days, the are really comfy. Am considering getting them in black or prune.

Amber, what colour are you going for next?

MarshaBrady · 22/09/2012 20:22

One day Pickled one day! Grin

Yes Ash are a good one too.

AmberNectarine · 22/09/2012 21:05

Quite fancy These pickled...

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2012 11:18

Hmm now I just need something I can wear in the rain.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 23/09/2012 11:19

Other than suede wedges.

shopafrolic · 23/09/2012 19:47

Oh no! Has the rain made the fashion chat stop?
Just dropped in to say I've been curled up by the fire reading YAWYW. Lots of food for thought - thanks Dona

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2012 20:17

We need Dona back Grin

I am going in to look at something to wear in the park in rain. And since I love my suede black wedges far too much to consider wearing those I am even considering Burberry rain riding boots. They might be bad or good!

What do people wear in muddy parks?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 23/09/2012 20:23

Link not working on my BB Marsha but I wear my Dubarry's. The Barbour jacket came out today for the first time - it actually worked with the Reiss jumper and skinny 7FAM. Much prefer the sunny and cold autumn days to all this rain!

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2012 20:26

Thanks Shop. Yes heard good things about Durbarry boots, will check them out.

I know I think it will rain this week. I really need warm clothes. Would love a jacket rather than a coat. Something very warm. I have a toddler that likes to roam and jump in puddles (actually they all must like that).

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 23/09/2012 20:45

Definitely! My 19mth DS only heads for the muddiest wettest parts of the park! Top tip was a pair of waterproof overtrousers I bought him from JoJos. He stays cosy and dry even if I don't!

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2012 20:52

I know, last time in all that rain he slashed water right up to his waist. In the summer so not too bad, but should get some of those for winter. Good thinking

shopafrolic · 23/09/2012 21:47

On another note, the costumes on Downton Abbey this year are amazing. I am loving Lady Mary's wardrobe!

Topazandpearl · 23/09/2012 21:52

Oohh, I so want a pair of Dubarry's! But I'm taking my time considering it (tho on a CPW basis, I think I could justify them - lots of dog-walking to be done). Still reading YAWYW and enjoying it. And have filled another charity bag. Am keeping up with the thread and enjoying it.

CPW on Dubarrys is well worth it! Mine are still going strong 3 years in. The wind is howling down the chimney here. Bye bye summer.

AuldAlliance · 23/09/2012 22:08

Haven't been around much due to the usual mad juggling act.
I skived off yesterday, though, for a 10-hr hike with two friends, and had an amazing day. Look a right wally now, though, as I got v sunburnt so have deep red nose and cheeks but huge white panda eyes from sunglasses.
Neither S nor B, really.

Sympathy for all those in the cold and rain.

Bonsoir · 24/09/2012 08:17

I had another exciting S&B celebrity spotting occasion this weekend: DP, DD and I went to our favourite Paris pizza restaurant for lunch yesterday and Anastasia Barbieri was there having lunch with her family! She and her children were very gorgeous...

DonaAna · 24/09/2012 08:33

Morning all - back from my trip, DH leaving for another tomorrow .
Major work deadlines, so no time for updates.

Just need to say that the Margiela leather pencil skirt and Marni coat are a wonderfully versatile items and so worth getting (the latter a steal at Outnet prices) - and also got a ton of wear and positive attention out of the Marni for H&M bracelets (warning: they are tiny). Also looking forward to Margiela @ H&M collaboration although not sure whether will bother with the queuing.

Read the Oct Br Vogue on the plane - enjoyed the pictures but when did the writing get so adulatory and schmaltzy? And the entire issue was chock-full of really boring advertorials - if they keep doing that, they will soon lose me.

It's still summery in Italy, so wearing my VB dress, nude makeup and flipflops. But have a feeling this will not last (cool weather and huge downpours earlier this week) so please do give me an update on fall outfits!
