These are great, thank you. (Although im not sure the various contributors on the worn out blog display very healthy body images... Hmm)

Oh Civil - what do you mean by that? We try to show a range of body types/shapes/sizes . . .

cazza40 · 29/08/2012 17:51

Just checked the worn out blog .... What do you mean re the healthy body image ? Seemed completely ok to me. Like the does my bum blog - like her writing and her style !

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/08/2012 17:54

I love Does my bum look big lady - she's fab on twitter too. I have learnt though that what suits 5ft10 her doesn't necessarily work on me.

I like Wendy and Atlantic Pacific because they are shorter albeit half my width as I can imagine I could look like them [laughs]

suburban · 29/08/2012 18:44

Dammit I never get accused of an unhealthy body image. I got linked on another forum where they were disapproving of 40Bum being so thin and brought me in as a "curvy" alternative, sigh.....

In all seriousness I have at least met Tracey worn out in real life and can attest that she is wonderfully slim and petite but not unhealthy and certainly no ishooos...

Lets face it though anybody vain enough to put themselves on a blog is only going to show their very best angles Grin

civilfawlty · 29/08/2012 18:54

Ok. Well I'm absolutely prepared to be wrong. It wasn't the images, more the text. Lots of 'oh my thighs are so fat' and 'I haven't done a bikini diet and dont look good' from seriously slender women and so forth, accompanied by photos of said women. Made me feel sad. Seemed like either there was some serious body dismorphia going on, or the posters were being disingenuous and implicitly negative about less slender people.

Like I said, I'm prepared to stand corrected. And some of the clothes were really very lovely indeed and made me think about new wardrobe combinations here which is lovely.

Am super sleep deprived and very glad of clothes distractions to pass the screaming midnight hours. So don't think I'm not grateful. I am!

And - suburban. You are very gorgeous!

Civil - its interesting you say that. I guess you may see disingenous where as I'd see self-deprecating Smile

Suburban - I am falling around at the idea of you as curvy - you are slenderly gorgeous Smile

NotMostPeople · 29/08/2012 19:47

MrsCB are you worn out then?

lurkingaround · 29/08/2012 19:57

Late here, but curious. What's the eyelash thread referred to in th OP?

NigellasGuest · 29/08/2012 20:02

www.londonmakeupgirl.com

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/08/2012 20:16

I am one of them yes

cahu · 29/08/2012 20:27

I like Cupcakes and Cashmere....although I am about twice her age, do not live in California and am not in the market for a Chanel bag....

QueenCadbury · 29/08/2012 20:33

Surburban, you are tiny but in a fine way. Not curvy, not anorexic, just normal. I like your blog.

lurkingaround · 29/08/2012 20:34

Will someone link me the eyelash thread??

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/08/2012 20:37

The US bloggers do have an amazing range of handbags - they're in a differentl league - I mean their photography is amazing but then they are all totally gorgeous and very young.

cahu · 29/08/2012 20:48

They ARE in a league of their own....Just makes me wish I had been born in the 80's ....!

NigellasGuest · 29/08/2012 20:51

eyelash thread

lurkingaround · 29/08/2012 21:24

Oh thanks Nigellas.

Have just had a read of the eyelash thread, pmsl, and choked on my apple.

Love S&B some days!!

cahu · 29/08/2012 21:30

Thanks Nigellas and not wanting to derail the thread but is revitalsh the same as rapidlash? If not, which is best? Sorry Civil.....
