Can I wear this frock

With the purple heels on the same page?

5' 2" size 14 large of nork and arse. Tummy and legs knee down okay.

Country house wedding. Is the black okay?

TeaDr1nker · 20/08/2012 21:19

I see no reason why not. Gorg dress, but then I am not one to fuss about black at a wedding.

Maraki · 20/08/2012 21:20

I love it! But not the price...

gomez · 20/08/2012 21:23

(Glossing over the price) Pleased to hear you likey. Not too frumpy?

OP posts:
Northernlurkerisonholiday · 20/08/2012 21:26

It's a lovely dress but the price is obscene and I am large of nork too and tbh I don't think that neckline and cap sleeves would do us any favours.

dexter73 · 20/08/2012 21:26

That dress is lovely - not frumpy at all.

TeaDr1nker · 20/08/2012 21:26

I think it is classy, will look great with the shoes (and bag if u can stretch that far), where does the hem come to? If it is to long can u get someone to take it up so it is on the knee?

gomez · 20/08/2012 21:30

What about this again some black

And no sleeves?

OP posts:
amothersplaceisinthewrong · 20/08/2012 21:33

The first one is gorgeous, less keen on the coast one .

gomez · 20/08/2012 21:35

Good idea to get altered up to make sure a good length. Not so keen on the wee bag- I prefer bigger bags.

Mmm I usually like slash/boat necks think they help with my broad shoulders. Am I mistaken? Smile. Norks not enormous 34E, just large.

OP posts:
gomez · 20/08/2012 21:37

Aye I'm less keen on Coast one too. Just surfing for other ideas.

OP posts:
NewChoos · 20/08/2012 21:37

1st dress - lovely but not sure the top part will be flattering to your shape
2nd dress - I like a lot but would you be better in something with more of a drapey/v shaped neckline?

gomez · 20/08/2012 21:43

Ah two no's on the gawjuss Hobbs one. Sad

So any ideas then? Budget can be generous. Online best as live in sticks although may find time next week when in a City.

OP posts:
miomio · 20/08/2012 21:55

What about Pepperberry - if you need to order online maybe more chance it would fit with big norks. in similar vein
pretty and would cover arse well
really cheap!

gomez · 20/08/2012 22:01

Oh like the first pepper berry one but it looks itchy.

I'm ginger and pink so number 2 no good.

Number three okay but not special.

[fussy]

OP posts:
miomio · 20/08/2012 22:07

what about this - would be nice with your colouring another hobbs one not too sure about high neck though

or another teal one

gomez · 20/08/2012 22:22

Like the Hobbs but prefer the original Hobbs one.

Not so keen on the Kaliko one for a wedding, but is a nice frock.

What about this bling

OP posts:
gomez · 20/08/2012 22:25

dramatic. Too much for a wedding maybe?

OP posts:
gomez · 20/08/2012 22:35

Lurvely.

OP posts:
MrsLettuce · 20/08/2012 22:56

Oh. My. Goodness. That Reis dress is a beauty! How about these with it?

MrsLettuce · 20/08/2012 23:08

cornybootseeker · 20/08/2012 23:12

Hobbs dress is perfect for a wedding. Love that reiss one as well.

fidelma · 20/08/2012 23:15

gomez · 20/08/2012 23:15

You've had lots of good advice ^. I'm about the same dimensions as you, and ime only v neck or draped necklines look good. Lucky you having good legs tho, I don't. Cankles anyone?
