Manchester - Market St - always a bargain to be had, my cousin came over from Norway and was amazed that we had shops like this (Norway VV expensive) she bought and Dolce & Gabbana dress (sp?) for £40

other Northern ones:-

Manchester - The Fort - a little out of the city centre but again good for a bargain
Oldham - best bargain a couple of weeks ago Superga pumps for £8/last year had a decent range of UGG's and EMU boots/ always loads of Le Crueset/Hunter Wellies and Bloch ballet shoes
Rochdale - always a huge reduced section in this one
Bury

The Putney one is pretty good I have seen Herve Leger dresses, Louboutin shoes, Prada jumpers, Joseph skirts etc.

I think the further away from the big cities the crapper the tkmaxx!

Exeter is big pile of shite other then getting a really nice chair for my dressing table, and an Elle winter jacket for my DD for £15 rather then the £90 rrp.

Cardiff Culverhouse Cross. Really tidy, always empty, good selection and easy to park right outside.

kiwi the Reading one was one of the first and used to be excellent. Over the past couple of years I've bought some lovely knitwear for DH, but I can't remember the last time they had any half decent women's stuff. The newer branches seem to get the good things these days.

I went to the one in Liverpool today and saw some Chloe, D&G, Michael Kors and All Saints clothes and a few other things like Missoni sunglasses and a few nice bags. I got a dkny camisole for a tenner and dkny nightslip type thing for £13.

There was a lovely soft leather caramel coloured leather jacket, Michael Kors, for £60 that I wish I'd bought. I am now a tk convert.

I agree that TK Maxx in Luton is pretty useless, I live there (in Luton, not the shop), and was so looking forward to its opening. Why no decent shoes for a start? I used to travel to Bedford for TK and still prefer the store there (or at interchange which is much easier by car).

Go online - free p&p if you spend over £50 and can return anything you don't like to the shop

Lewisham is very good.
